WARNING: This article contains SPOILERS for The Book of Boba Fett.

The Book of Boba Fett started off as an intense character study of the legendary galactic bounty hunter Boba Fett as he attempted to establish his rule over the Tatooine underworld through respect rather than through fear. Joined by his right-hand woman Fennec Shand, Fett endeavors to rid the planet of the spice trade and the interference of the Pyke Syndicate.

Later episodes of the series have taken the time to introduce new characters to the Star Wars universe as well as reintroduce old favorites that fans have been dying to see more of. With such a large cast, some characters prove to resonate more with fans in terms of likability than others.

10 Mok Shaiz

Mok Shaiz is the Ithorian mayor of Mos Espa, whom Boba Fett must contend with for power despite his claims to be subservient to the new gang boss. Voiced by series producer Robert Rodriguez, the character disappears for a majority of the season, playing a small role in its events.

Shaiz, though playing a very minimal part in the series overall, did not come off well when all was said and done. He is proven to be a traitor to his people, subjecting them to the Pyke’s spice trade, and, in the end, receives a particularly grisly demise at the hands of Fennec Shand.

9 Majordomo

Comedy actor David Pasquesi portrays Mayor Shaiz’s majordomo, his right-hand man who deals directly with Fett and Shand. The majordomo actually has a larger role in the series than the mayor himself, often covering his boss’s double-dealings.

Majordomo is good for a few laughs, as he is very clearly out of his depth when it comes to the violent struggle for power which he becomes embroiled with. However, his constant submission to whoever gives him any trouble proves to be a rather irritating trait, making it hard for audiences to identify with the Twi’lek.

8 Drash

Drash, played by the up-and-coming actress Sophie Thatcher, is the leader of a group of renegade youths on the streets of Tatooine known as the “Mods,” who have adopted cybernetic implants as a means of improving their physical abilities. After a confrontation regarding stolen property, Drash and her crew accept Boba Fett’s job offer and become a part of his administration.

Drash may start off as a classic street punk but really develops into a self-made character by the season’s end. It is thanks to her wit and skill with a blaster that many of Boba’s militia survive the attack by the Pykes. With the character still under Boba’s employ, viewers are sure to see more of her should a second season ever come.

7 Garsa Fwip

Jennifer Beals portrays the Twi’lek Garsa Fwip, the owner of Sanctuary cantina in Mos Eisley. Though she seems to feign loyalty to whomever best serves her needs at any given moment, Fwip seems mostly out to protect her own business dealings. Unfortunately for her, her cantina became the first target in the Pykes’ incitement of war on Tatooine.

Garsa Fwip quickly caught fans’ attention in her early appearances, as she always seemed to have something brewing beneath the surface, leading many viewers to question her true loyalties. Regardless of her alignment, her keen survival senses earned her plenty of respect from the audience and from Boba Fett himself, until her untimely demise at the hands of the Pykes.

6 Luke Skywalker

Recent Star Wars television has given fans a unique and unexpected look at Luke Skywalker before the greatest tragedy in his life, the destruction of his temple and the deaths of his students at the hand of Ben Solo. His appearance on The Book of Boba Fett has expanded on this chapter of his story where he attempts to kickstart Grogu’s Jedi training.

Luke served a very small role in the overall plot of the series but continues to hint at much more to come in the future of Star Wars. However, fans found themselves actively rooting against Luke’s interests, desiring to see Grogu reunited with his adoptive father. Though fans may not have found themselves aligned with Luke in this particular series, however, they may still find themselves following the character’s story once more in future Star Wars projects.

5 Black Krrsantan

Black Krrsantan sees his live-action debut in The Book of Boba Fett after playing a significant role in certain Star Wars comics that have since been considered “Legends” content. The Wookiee mercenary starts off as an enemy of Boba Fett, before being betrayed by his Hutt bosses, eventually joining Fett’s brigade.

Krrsantan, like a certain other Wookiee in the Star Wars universe, is difficult not to love. Although he is a grimier, less huggable version of the beloved Chewbacca, he certainly seems to have enough skill and honor to be a valuable character moving forward. Not only that, but his entrance portends several other big developments that may be coming to Star Wars.

4 Cad Bane

Chapter 6 of The Book of Boba Fett saw the unexpected reintroduction of bounty hunter Cad Bane for the very first time in live-action. Voiced by Corey Buton, Bane is best known for his iconic arcs in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Cad Bane had little trouble earning the love of fans in his live-action debut, thanks in large part to his long history in animation. In his two episodes in the series, despite being a ruthless and cold-blooded killer, Bane showed off his extreme skill and speed in the heat of battle. Unfortunately for him, this battle would prove to be his very last.

3 Boba Fett

Temura Morrison reprises his role as Boba Fett after his brief appearances on several episodes of The Mandalorian. In this series, Boba Fett is a former bounty hunter turned gang boss who aims to prove that ruling Tatooine with respect is superior to ruling with fear.

As was to be expected, Boba Fett gets more character development in this series than ever before, proving to be a surprisingly reasonable man of honor who intends to clean up the planet of Tatooine. While he does prove to be a likable fellow overall, he does take a considerable back seat in his own series after the entrance of Din Djarin, something that the character never fully recovers from.

2 Fennec Shand

Fennec Shand is a bounty hunter that certainly deserves her own spinoff series. Portrayed by Ming-Na Wen, the character acts as Boba Fett’s right hand, often advising him in the most important matters pertaining to his rule. The character remains an important tie to Boba Fett’s history, reminding him of his bounty hunter roots.

Thanks in large part to Ming-Na Wen’s skill in playing capable fighters with a heart of gold, Fennec Shand’s character resonates well in the overall tone of the show. Shand always seems to have a firm grasp on the situation at hand, sometimes even more so than Boba Fett himself. Should a Season 2 ever occur, Fennec must receive more screentime to display her amazing abilities.

1 Din Djarin

Much to fans’ excitement, Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin, the protagonist of The Mandalorian, made his return in Chapter 5 of The Book of Boba Fett, quickly stealing the titular bounty hunter’s spotlight as the series morphed into an interlude chapter of The Mandalorian over the course of several episodes. Mando spends his time in the series recruiting muscle for Fett’s oncoming war, while also investigating Luke Skywalker’s training of his former companion, Grogu.

A character that manages to steal the show even when sharing the screen with classic characters like Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano is truly something special. This is exactly the kind of character that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have created in Din Djarin. Despite his relatively brief history in Star Wars, he is already beloved by the fandom, partially due to his unending love for his foundling, the adorable Grogu, with whom he has formed an absolutely unbreakable bond.
