Thanks to Compound V, numerous Supes roam around in The Boys. Some are famous members of the Seven while others are independent, free to cause mayhem while watching over their back for Billy Butcher and his team. Even though the Amazon series is a little less graphic compared to the comics, the Supes still do a lot of wild things.

Most of the powers and abilities demonstrated by the Supes are not new; they have been seen before in other media before. However, what the Supes choose to do with these powers from time to time often can be downright shocking. After all, the majority of these individuals are not upstanding citizens.

10 The Deep: Commandeering A Whale

Thanks to his aquatic telepathy power, the Deep is able to communicate with all kinds of sea creatures. In one of the most iconic scenes in the series, the ousted member of the Seven orders a group of sharks and dolphins to chase a yacht that’s carrying the Boys. After a lucky escape, the Supe-hunters jump on a motorboat and speed towards the beach. But their problems aren’t over,

A whale soon appears beside them and on top of it is the Deep. The Supe is riding the whale and he manages to speed past them and get to the beach first. Not one to lose, Billy Butcher drives the boat straight into the whale’s body.

9 Doppelganger: Turning Into Homelander

It’s a shame that Doppelganger was killed off so soon as his ability is quite unique. He can turn into anything. Earlier in the series, he shifts into a woman and sleeps with Senator Calhoun to blackmail him.

His wildest moment comes when he turns into Homelander. He does this to please the leader of the Seven because it is widely believed that he is only attracted to himself. Doppelganger figures Homelander would feel better about Stillwell’s death if he gets to make love to someone who looks just like him. Sadly, this action makes Homelander angry. Consequently, he snaps Doppelganger’s neck.

8 Ezekiel: Choking Hughie From A Distance

The Capes For Christ leader is a complex character as a homophobic preacher who is secretly gay. He also happens to be a Supe who can elongate any part of his body.

In order to get Ezekiel to reveal information about a Compound V shipment, Hughie approaches him after a baptism and threatens to expose his secret life. Even though he is standing fairly close to Hughie, Ezekiel unnecessarily moves several steps back before elongating his hand to choke him. The preacher is clearly showing off.

7 Homelander: Bashing Blindspot’s Ears In

Vought International decides to hire new Supes in Season 2 so a few talented ones are singled out. Ashley introduces Homelander to Blindspot, a Supe she says fits a certain demographic, hence would be good for the company’s image. Blindspot is quite talented as he can be seen throwing spears and daggers at the gym with great accuracy. He is said to have super hearing too.

The Supe is more than excited to see Homelander but when he comes to greet him, the leader of the Seven uses his immense strength to bash his ears in, making him lose his hearing. This means Blindspot no longer has his greatest power. An angry Homelander then tells Ashley that only he gets to decide who joins the Seven.

6 Victoria Neuman: Makes Jonah’s Head Explode

Victoria Neuman is first introduced as a morally superior congresswoman eager to bring down the Seven after it is revealed that they are enhanced by Compound V. It soon emerges that she is also a Supe with a secret agenda. She has a unique power too — cranial explosion inducement. Neuman can telepathically exert enough pressure on the cerebral tissues, causing one’s head to explode.

The best time this power is demonstrated is when the Boys convince the retired Vought International scientist Jonah Vogelbaum to testify about the company’s illegal activities before congress. Before Vogelbaum can talk. Neuman causes his head to explode.

5 Popclaw: Accidentally Crushing Her Landlord’s Head

Popclaw’s time in the series is limited but it sure is interesting. She has a brief relationship with A-Train but their days of bliss come to an end when she tells the Boys about Compound V. Angry, A-Train kills her.

Before that, Popclaw demonstrates incredible abilities. Like Wolverine, she can extend claws from her hands and use them as weapons. She is also very strong as she is seen squat-lifting 900 pounds on her shoulders. Her wildest moment happens when her powerful legs accidentally crush the skull of her landlord as he is performing oral sex on her.

4 Baby Supe: Lasering Security Guards

Billy Butcher and Mother’s Milk once sneak into a secret Vought facility where they discover babies being pumped with Compound V so that they can be heroes in the future. Soon, guards come storming in. Mother’s Milk tries to distract them while Butcher figures out what to do. He quickly comes up with a solution.

Butcher encourages the unnamed Supe infant to laser the guards. And the baby does just that. Before leaving, Butcher then tells the baby to be good when he grows up.

3 Gecko: Letting His Hands Get Hacked For Money

Annie’s childhood friend Gecko has the best regenerative abilities out of all the Supes. Whenever he loses a part of his body, it grows back the same way a gecko’s tail does. Thanks to his powers, he is given a job in the labs on 67th in Vought Tower where scientists use him to perform tests.

It seems that the job doesn’t pay well as he has another side hustle. From time to time, Gecko allows thrill-seekers to hack his hands, then pay him. He is well aware that they’ll grow right back. Despite being his friend, Starlight uses Gecko’s side gig to blackmail him and get him to steal a sample of Compound V from Vought’s labs.

2 A-Train: High-Speed Hit-And-Run On Robin Ward

Hughie is planning to move in with his girlfriend Robin in the series premiere when a speeding A-Train hits and kills her on the street. Vought International forces A-Train to apologize, something he does half-heartedly. The company then offers to compensate Hughie but he opts to join the Boys and get revenge instead.

The incident where A-Train runs through Robin proves just how fast the speedster is.  From the impact, Robin’s hands become severed and Hughie is left holding them.

1 Lamplighter: Self-Immolation

A former member of the Seven, Lamplighter is gifted with pyrokinesis, the ability to control fire. He doesn’t enjoy staying at the Green Grove Center very much, as he misses being a member of the Seven. However, he regrets his past evil actions too, something that leads him to self-immolation.

Hughie convinces Lamplighter to accompany him to Vought Tower to rescue Starlight since he is familiar with the layout. It turns out Lamplighter doesn’t intend to come back alive. After staring at a mural of the Seven and realizing his statue was removed, he self-immolates. Left with no choice, Hughie uses Lamplighter’s charred hand to bypass the locks.
