According to a new report, Mother’s Milk’s Wife and the TNT Twins will be joining season 3 of The Boys. Based on the DC comic books of the same name, the satire series first premiered on Amazon Prime in 2019. Headlined by Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, and Erin Moriarty, The Boys follows a team of vigilantes as they try to take down Vought, a notoriously corrupt corporation. Things get complicated when their all-star team of superpowered individuals, The Seven, find out and try to hunt the boys down.

The last time audiences saw Hughie, Butcher, and the rest of the boys was after the team decided to split following Stormfront’s defeat. Compound V, Stormfront’s far-right affiliations, and Homelander’s less-than-heroic behaviors were seemingly not enough to take down Vought. However, justice was served and the boys’ criminal charges were dismissed. Butcher sent Ryan away with the CIA, while Hugie got a job with historically anti-supe congresswoman, Victoria Neuman (who will certainly play a key role in the show’s future). Kimiko ran away with Frenchie to presumably go dancing, and Mother’s Milk was finally reunited with his family. Other than that, the season 2 finale didn’t give viewers much of a hint as to where the team would go next.

According to a recent casting announcement, fans of The Boys might have a better idea of what’s next to come. As reported by Deadline, Frances Turner, Kristin Booth, and Jack Doolan are set to join season 3 of The Boys in recurring roles. Turner will play Mother’s Milk’s wife, Monique, who was briefly featured in season 1. Additionally, Booth and Doolan will play Tessa and Tommy, a.k.a., the TNT Twins.

Season 3 will tell the story of Vought’s first superhero, Soldier Boy, and his experiences fighting in World War II. He’s played by Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles, making Soldier Boy one of the show’s most highly anticipated characters yet. After his costume was revealed earlier this year to massive excitement from fans, the hype surrounding season 3 will only continue to skyrocket. To further prepare audiences for the upcoming season, The Boys is debuting monthly teasers called Seven on Seven. Each month on the seventh, a video from Vought News Network is released to fill in the blanks between seasons 2 and 3. So far, viewers have seen story segments like The Deep leaving the Church of the Collective, and even a potential new love interest for Starlight.

The Boys cast confirmed filming on season 3 wrapped last month, but an official release date has yet to be revealed. Meanwhile, Amazon did confirm that a spinoff series of The Boys was ordered, which will follow the events of a superhero college ran by Vought. While fans of The Boys universe probably can’t expect the spinoff show to premiere for another couple years, it’s more than likely that The Boys season 3 will debut either in late 2021 or early 2022. It’ll be interesting to see how the newly announced characters play into the upcoming season’s storyline, and if more trouble lies ahead. But one thing is certain: The Boys season 3 is sure to be jam-packed with shocking twists, turns, gore, and some hilarious moments fans have come to expect from the series.
