New images are teasing the design of Godolkin University, the school for young Supes in The Boys‘ upcoming spinoff, Gen V. Based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book of the same name, The Boys follows a team of vigilantes in their efforts to take down The Seven, a group of superheroes who commonly abuse their abilities, but are backed by the powerful Vought International conglomerate. The series premiered on Amazon Prime back in 2019, becoming one of its most successful original programs to date and establishing an ardent fanbase along the way. Gen V was confirmed last year and will be the show’s second derivative work, following The Boys Presents: Diabolical, which debuted in March.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Described by executive producer Eric Kripke as an X-Men/Hunger Games-inspired teen drama, Gen V will follow a group of young adult Supes as they are trained and challenged at the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting. Similar to the G-Men in the comics, the show will begin by navigating the college experience, though audiences can expect it to be different from a typical campus visit. While further details related to specific characters are being kept under wraps, Lizzie Broadway, Jaz Sinclair, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Chance Perdomo, Maddie Phillips, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and London Thor have all joined the cast of Gen V, as revealed in a behind-the-scenes video back in July.

Now, fans can get their first look at the design of Godolkin University through recent images shared by Vought International‘s official Twitter account. Having attributed the lavish look to donors’ “generous contributions,” the photos depict a remodeled student union and dorm room. Large in scale and highly ornate, they offer a general idea of what audiences can expect to see in Gen V. Check out the new school images below:

Content surrounding Gen V has been relatively sparse across all social media related to The Boys, however, a recent video shared on Twitter hints how connected the two shows will be. In the footage, fans can notice posters of A-Train and Victoria Neuman plastered on the side of a restaurant wall. Kripke previously discussed the possibility of a crossover between both series, suggesting that some characters could make appearances in either show, and with filming of The Boys season 4 underway, the opportunity is there. Since Gen V is not slated to premiere until sometime next year, audiences will likely have to wait for any other material concerning actual characters and sets to be released.

Fans of The Boys may end up getting their sneak-peaks of Gen V piecemeal, but perhaps the latest images of Godolkin University serve as some indication that more content is on the way. It will also be interesting to see how the show constructs its sets and if they actually match the designs posted. Those looking forward to finding out can be sure to catch Gen V when it debuts in 2023.
