The Challenge: Fans Are Excited About Kam & Leroy’s Baby News

Kam Williams and Leroy Garrett of MTV’s The Challenge just announced that they’re expecting their first baby and fans are overjoyed for the parents-to-be. Kam and Leroy first met back in 2018 while filming The Challenge: Vendettas. They were instantly attracted to each other, and after trying to keep things casual, they started dating. Their relationship was full of ups and downs since then, to the point where they even broke up and hardly talked to each other. However, they eventually got back together. Since then, they’ve been a strong couple on and off The Challenge.

Last season on Double Agents, Kam and Leroy went in as a power couple. They made it to the finale together (but on separate teams) and hoped to increase their odds of winning. It was a neck and neck race, but Kam’s team finished before Leroy’s, making her the runner-up. It was a bittersweet moment for the couple, as Leroy had confided to Kam that this would be his last season of The Challenge. One win before he hung up his Challenge belt would have been amazing, but Leroy wanted to move on from the series.

In November 2020, Kam posted an Instagram picture with the announcement that they were moving to Houston. Then, in a recent post, Kam delighted fans with the news that the couple is expecting their first baby. Kam and Leroy are shown wearing matching pajamas with a Christmas tree in the background and Leroy’s hand cradling her baby bump. Kam is beaming for joy while she holds a sonogram picture. In turn, Leroy shared the same picture with the caption, “Our greatest gift. Thank you God for this blessing, I’m beyond grateful. His timing is always right. I can’t wait to be a daddy.”

There has been an outpouring of love for the couple, especially for The Challenge star Leroy. For instance, Nany Gonzalez gushed, “Okay I’m crying. Words don’t describe how proud and excited I am for the two of you… congratulations! I love you both so much!” Nany and Leroy were on The Real World: Las Vegas together and have been good friends since then. They always had each other’s backs on The Challenge, and when Leroy and Kam became official, Nany gave the couple her full support. Nany recently asked her Instagram followers for advice about IVF, indicating that she was also considering being a mom. Challenge fans would love to see her make that next step alongside Kam and Leroy.

Following Leroy’s heartbreaking defeat last year, Kam was suspiciously absent from this season’s Spies, Lies, and Allies, leaving fans to speculate if that was intentional. It may also be part of the reason why Leroy quit The Challenge, although a deeper issue could have driven his motivation. Many players have kids and come back to compete, so fans are crossing their fingers to see if Kam will retake her title as “Killah Kam.” Leroy announced that the baby was due in June 2022, so fans will have to wait six more months to get a glimpse of their little bundle of joy.
