The Challenge: Nelson Reveals He Knew Tori & Fessy Had ‘A Thing Going On’

The rumors surrounding Tori Deal and Fessy Shafaat’s relationship continue to surface as members of the cast have spilled about the pair’s flirtatious ways. During a recent episode of MTV’s The Challenge podcast, Nelson Thomas dished on how he knew there was a spark between the two competitors.

Earlier this month, Tori took to social media to shut down speculation that she cheated on her now ex-fiancé, Jordan Wiseley, with Fessy while they were filming the show. The current season of Double Agents is the first time in years that Jordan skipped out on competing, with Tori opting to compete without him. The former couple got engaged on the show and were planning an intimate wedding with family and friends before announcing their split in December. During a recent episode, Fessy admitted the crush he had on Tori, and the two appeared to be a little flirty with each other. But, Tori addressed the speculation online. “Uhmmm… I see how this is all being edited… but just because Fessy admits he’s attracted to me doesn’t mean I cheated,” she declared. “I never cheated on Jordan. So everyone needs to chill out.”

But Tori was put on the spot during a recent episode of MTV’s Official Challenge Podcast after Aneesa Ferreira asked her about the photos that surfaced earlier this month of Tori and Fessy in Turks and Caicos together. “I’ve been trying to lay low,” Tori told Aneesa. “You mean, laying low in Turks?” Aneesa sarcastically asked. “You’re gonna call me out right now?” Tori replied. “I thought we were friends. I thought this was a safe space.” Things only got worse when Nelson appeared on the podcast and revealed how he already knew something was going on between Tori and Fessy while filming. “Now, when it came down to you, Tori … I thought you and Fessy had a thing going on at that time, so ya’ll were rocking with each other,” Nelson declared.

Wanting a more clear answer out of Nelson, Tori asked, “But what is a ‘thing’? What is a ‘thing’ going on?” After being sent home by Fessy during a recent elimination, Nelson didn’t hold back when spilling on how he and Cory Wharton saw a romance budding between the two competitors. “I knew Fessy was attracted to you last season — we all knew that,” Nelson explained. “Cory and I knew that,” he clarified after Aneesa and Tori said they didn’t know that. “And going throughout this season, watching him make his moves, you’re like, man, you’re really pushing it, Fessy, between you and Tori,” Nelson continued. “We don’t know what was going on or what was said, so I can’t speak on that. But from the outside looking in, this is what I see.”

Fessy has recently shut down rumors of dating Tori, while Tori hasn’t confirmed or denied the speculation. It does appear she has already moved on from Jordan and might be getting company from another Challenge contestant.

The Challenge airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on MTV.
