ThroughoutThe Circle‘s three U.S. seasons, the show ruthlessly eliminated competitors through unfair tactics. Whether it was through a single Super Influencer’s vote, another player stealing someone’s identity, or the mere fact that the player came in too late to actually play the game, the show maintained a relentless blocking system. While certain players got the boot from the typical two-influencer vote, others suffered from the show’s entertaining twists.

Many fans on Reddit still debate about the fairness of the blockings. And they definitely have opinions on those who didn’t get a fair chance to play the game. Whether it’s Ed and his mom or Michelle and her crass dogs, the fans have many opinions about the unfairness of the blockings that they’ve shared on Reddit.

10 Bryant

Previously an athletic and overly self-assured competitor on America’s Next Top Model, Bryant appeared on season 2 of The Circle as a completely changed person. He reformed himself by becoming a Master Breathwork Practioner. Unfortunately, his fellow circle members found his positive vibe and breathwork a bit too fake, and he was the first blocking of the season.

Bryant came into the game with no disguise or attempt to mask his “true” personality. He seemed to be a genuinely well-natured guy that could have gone far in the show but wasn’t given a chance. LivLikesToLaugh agreed with this sentiment, saying, “I actually liked Bryant and thought he was gone too soon!” He didn’t play the social game soon enough, and that’s his fault. But the others not believing in his job is an unfair judgment. After all, season 3 featured Vince the Ghosthunter, who everyone wholly believed.

9 Miranda

Miranda quickly jumped into the game, a latecomer to season 1, unafraid of building friendships and alliances. She formed an especially close relationship with the season’s winner Joey. In one of the shows many twists, the influencers were each given the task of individually choosing two players to stay, leaving one player (Miranda) blocked.

Miranda’s built relationships but not as strong as most players who’d been there longer. She brought a great personality to the show. SuperHoneyBunny said, “I really liked Miranda, she seems like someone I’d befriend in real life. I was sorry to see her booted off.” Miranda’s only downfall seemed to be her lack of time in The Circle. If she were a starting player, she probably would have been a keeper to the influencers.

8 Ruksana

Ruksana was a fantastic player in season 3 from the start. She possessed an infectious and lovable personality and stayed true to herself. ghostpeppernm said, “Ruksana was the only one worth rooting for!”

“Rukshana was done dirty but she is unfortunately a casualty of the silent Nick vs Kai war,” smtray005 says it spot on. She got caught in the middle of a division between groups. And the leader of her opposing alliance solely voted her out in some of the best twists in season 3 of The Circle. Her blocking was so unfortunate because of her great character and honesty. This season’s cast relied heavily on alliances and not popularity or likability.

7 Khat

One of season 2’s latecomers, Khat, came in on the hunt for catfish. She’s an athlete with a strategic approach to the game. But her tactics may have been her downfall as she got blocked on her second eligible voting.

Khat had the disadvantage of getting to the Circle too late to form connections and relied on analytical gameplay. She realized this a bit too late, though. And as Heylookitshannah said, “[Courtney] literally didn’t give khat the chance to make up for her mistakes.” Bonds and alliances formed too tightly for her to stand a chance, and it showed, with fellow latecomer Mitchell being blocked right after her.

6 Daniel

Daniel came in as the youngster of the cast and quickly became one of The Circle‘s most likable players in season 3. Though he was sweet, funny, and honest, he got caught in a battle of alliances. He was completely thrown under the bus by Nick. During the influencer chat, Nick manipulated James into thinking Daniel had multiple alliances. Then, James used him as a bargaining chip to keep Kai around.

His blocking was so vicious and unwarranted.  He didn’t do anything to deserve it. In a popularity contest turned alliance war, Daniel drew the extra short end of the stick. He was rolled over and backstabbed right after being an influencer. In theambassador-‘s words, “Daniel deserved better.”

5 Jacki

Jacki came into season 3’s Circle as the last member. And boy, she came into some drama. Luckily, she was exempt from the divided alliances’ vote. That didn’t prevent her from being a fatality of the war, though. They blocked her the next round.

4 Ed (Minus His Mom)

Ed and his mom entered season 1 as the first Circle duo. He had an interesting personality, and bringing his mom along was one of the most cringy things on The Circle. It didn’t even help him much, seeing as he was blocked right away.

As entertaining as the duo was, Ed would have been better off on his own. And he had the potential to grow and build relationships if he entered earlier. The others had already gotten so close to each other. One Redditor said argued that “It wasn’t fair to people like Ed (who was really astute and perceptive when it came to reading through people), Bill and Sean because the five originals already had a connection and alliances to one another. If Ed had been there from the beginning I think he would have made it super far.”

3 Sean

Sean entered season 1 as a late addition. Being plus-sized, she came in as a catfish, a skinnier version of herself. After a game, Sean felt the need to reveal how she truly looked to the rest of the contestants. This revelation, while good-intentioned, didn’t sit well with fans.

Many others said she should have come in as herself from the start and didn’t appreciate her lies. That’s not got her blocked, though. As lyracaelum said, ” She didn’t lose because she was fat, she lost because Joey wasn’t sure where her alliances stood.”  What got her blocked was the disadvantage of coming in late and the unfair twist of having a Superinfluencer decide her fate on their own.

2 Emily (Jack)

Emily, portrayed by Jack, was a player from the start of season 2. He played a pretty decent girl right up until the infamous mannequin challenge of The Circle‘s 2nd season. Everyone received a mannequin head to put makeup on. Jack displayed his lack of knowledge, basically exposing him as a catfish.

Redditors question whether the challenge is fair. spinktone said, “… it’s disappointing to see that challenge prove that Emily is indeed a catfish, rather than the contestants just digging some more.” NihilistNymph-o pointed out, “I’m also surprised over the fact that they can’t comprehend the idea that a 21-year-old girl wouldn’t be handy with makeup?” because she didn’t and was the same age. These are both valid points as to the unfairness of the game. Unfortunately for Jack, the Circle members correctly called him out based on the game.

1 Michelle

Michelle is the least fortunate person in season 3. With her identity stolen, she was too angry to appear like her true self, and the fake Michelle won over the other Circle members.

This season 3 twist was the dirtiest and most unfair of all three seasons. And it came down to Michelle not letting her dogs lick her face. Plenty of people don’t like their dogs licking their faces. lemonblueberrysky lies out exactly what went down, “the REAL Michelle was nuanced but because she didn’t fit into the stereotype everyone had in mind, she was seen as a fake.” It’s so sad and frustrating to have someone imitate her and then be blocked because she didn’t seem like herself to many people she barely knew.
