The ‘Face of Twitch’ Cries Meeting Fan During Stream

In one of his recent PlayerUknown’s Battlegrounds streams, self-proclaimed “Face of Twitch”, Dr. DisRespect cried after talking to a fan he randomly teamed up with. Dr. DisRespect (real name Guy Beahm) is one of the most recognizable personalities in the gaming world. Dr. DisRespect only joined Twitch early last year and quickly amassed a large following through focusing on battle royale games H1Z1: King of the Kill and now, PUBG, turning his name into a brand. The Doc is more than just catchphrases, sunglasses, mustaches (actually, it’s a “poisonous ethiopian caterpillar” according to the doc) and “black steel” mullets, although he rocks all of that too. What makes him stand out above the rest is his larger than life personality, exuding charisma in everything he does.

Dr. DisRespect is also known for his ’80s-styled masculinity. He’s extremely cocky and compliments himself on a daily basis, all in an over-exaggerated comedic fashion. (He once even called himself a sex God.) One would assume that the man has never shed a tear in his life, not even as a baby. So, imagine the shockwaves he sent through gaming Twitter when he cried during one of his streams.

In one of his recent PUBG streams, Dr. DisRespect found himself playing alongside a fan who did not realize that that was the real Doc. So, Dr. DisRespect decided to troll his fan. “What do you think of the guy?” Doc asked the fan. To which the fan replied, “I just love him.” Doc then tried to bait the kid a little more, saying “He can get on my nerves.” The fan was unclear as to who Doc was referring to at this point, and replied, “Who, me?” Doc then said, “No, the Doc,” to which the fan responded, “Not for me. I love him.” This caused Dr. DisRespect to stand up and walk away from his computer, in tears, in a moment nobody would’ve seen coming.

Naturally, Dr. DisRespect has since denied that he shed a tear in typical Doc fashion, retweeting an article by Kotaku about it with the caption, “Those weren’t tears. I simply got G Fuel in my eyes again,” as seen above. G Fuel, of course, is one of the Doc’s more recent sponsors.

In a short period of time, PUBG has quickly  become one of the most popular PC game on Twitch and Steam, overcoming top competitors Dota 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive. The game has even earned the title of the best-selling game on any system this year, having sold more than 13 million copies and it’s still set to release on Xbox One this holiday season. With personalities like Dr. DisRespect championing it, PUBG will only continue to grow from strength to strength.
