Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson have a lot in common. The longtime allies of Captain America have both taken over the role for an extended period of time and both Falcon and Winter Soldier have been members of the Avengers. While their morals are a little different and they don’t always agree with each other’s tactics, the two’s chemistry has always been one of the more entertaining aspects of their relationship. Now, the duo will have to work together to take down an evil organization… and save Bucky’s cat, Alpine.

Both the Falcon and Winter Soldier have evolved significantly as characters over the years, originally going from Steve Roger’s sidekicks to kickass characters in their own rights. At a time, both were among characters who were Captain America. But, current comic continuity has them back as the heroes we know from the MCU films and co-stars of the upcoming Disney+ series, The Falcon and Winter Soldier. In previews for a new series titled Falcon and Winter Soldier, the two are forced to team up after things go awry.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

MonkeysFightingRobots.com got an exclusive look at Falcon & Winter Soldier #1. In the previews, Bucky is meditating with his cat Alpine, when all a sudden his door is kicked down and a team of militarized gunmen tries to take him down. Bucky goes into Winter Soldier mode and uses his strength and fighting ability to take down those trying to kill him. As for Alpine, he hides behind Bucky and is carefully shielded by his human owner, who protects his cat at all costs. After the ambush, Bucky puts Alpine in the front of his zipped jacket and hops on a motorcycle. Falcon’s been doing his own digging into a missing person named McKenzie. He’s told to head to the Office of Federal Utilities, where he goes and finds Bucky and Alpine, along with a pile of dead bodies. Sam turns to Bucky and asks him “you didn’t do this, did you?” to which Bucky responds “wow.”

Check out the full preview of the issue. Thankfully, Alpine is saved by Bucky. Nothing better happen to the adorable cat.
