The First 25 Cat Shine Locations in Bowser’s Fury

Bowser’s Fury offers lots of secret items for players to find including 100 Cat Shines. These Shines can be found throughout the many island areas within the game. This list is for the first 25 of the 100 Cat Shines that Cat Mario can find.

Each area throughout will have five Cat Shines. However, one of the five will always be broken down into five shards. This equals out to nine items per area for the player to track down. Here we’ll cover the Scamper Shores, Fort FlapTrap, Slipskate Slope, and Pounce Bounce Isle.

The First 25 Cat Shine Locations in Bowser’s Fury

Scamper Shores:

• Make the Lighthouse Shine – Next to the lighthouse.
• Fury Shadow by the Shore – In the middle of the southern shoreline near the tower.
• Key to the Cat Shine – In a cage on the shore near the starting point.
• Blast the Fury Blocks – On the southeastern shore, behind fury blocks.
• Five Cat Shine Shards – The first shard is near the center of the lower area of the island on a lower side level to the tower in an inlet. The second requires Cat Mario to climb up a moving lattice to one side of the tower and jump off at the top, towards the tower. The third is between the southern and middle portions of the island at the top of the third moving lattice. The fourth is in the same area as the first, in a tiny wooden room that requires Cat Mario to be in his flying cube form to fit through the single window. The fifth shard is in the same area as the third, swimming underneath the stone platform, climb the support pillar up to the moving lattice. With all five, they will connect becoming the fifth Cat Shine.

Fort FlapTrap:

• Bully the Cat Bullies – Near the middle of the eastern half of this area let Bowser Jr. bully all the large cats through the flaptraps. This shine will pop out after all of the bullies are dealt with.
• Blue Coin Bustle – Collect all of the blue coins in Fort FlapTrap. Simply hit the blue button at the front to start the blue coin bonanza.
• Show’s Over, Cat Magikoopas – Defeat all the cat magikoopas within another event in Fort FlapTrap.
• Blast the Fury Blocks – In the fight with Fury Bowser on the northeastern shore, hide behind the fury blocks while he gets ready to breathe fire. Once he does, the fury blocks will be destroyed, revealing a shine beneath them in a hole.
• Five Cat Shine Shards – The first is on the right side of the front of Fort FlapTrap. The second is above a tree on the northeastern shore. The third is behind the lighthouse near the tree. The fourth is under a bundle of trees near the southern end of this area. The fifth is in the northern end of this area, run and break one of them out of place blocks in the wall to break it and reveal the last shard.

Slipskate Slope:

• Make the Lighthouse Shine – Near the lighthouse at the northern end of the skinny island.
• Blue Coin Bustle – At the fat southern end of the skinny island, start the blue coin bustle and skate to victory to collect all the blue coins and the cat shine.
• Key To the Cat Shine – Another key collection mini-game. Climb back up the slope with the key in tow. The shine is caged within the center area of the starting point for going down the slope.
• Blast the Fury Blocks – When fighting Fury Bowser, hide near the fury blocks on the side of the slope and let him break them with his fire breath. The shine is back behind them.
• Five Cat Shine Shards – The first can be gotten from the cat goombas at the top of the slope. The second is just off of the first ramp down the slope. The third is close to the spike wall after the first ramp. The fourth is at the end of the rounded moving panels on the slope. The final one is off of the last ramp on the slope near the lighthouse.

Pounce Bounce Isle:

• Make the Lighthouse Shine – Next to the dark lighthouse on the middle northern island.
• Hurry! Jump High, Jump Fast! – Hit the purple button to race through the Pounce Bounce Isle to the shine that pops up next to the green striped lighthouse with a cat shine symbol on it.
• Key to the Cat Shine – Collect the key from the top of the Isle near all of the Cat Bullet Bills. Head back to the bottom near the cat arch to find the Cat Shine in a cage.
• Blast the Fury Blocks – During another fight with Fury Bowser, near the northwestern area, jump on the wall and climb in front of the fury blocks. Wait for Fury Bowser to blow his flames and jump out of the way. He’ll destroy the blocks revealing a Cat Shine.
• Five Cat Shine Shards – The first is above the cat wind-ups. The second shard is near the top of the bounce house, off the right side. Throw Mario’s boomerang to get it easily. Climb up one of the single stone walls near the top of the bounce house for the third shard. The fourth shard is at the end of the bridge at the northern end of the map. The fifth is found on the backside of the single wall near the ramp and green lighthouse.
