For more than seven years, fans waited and waited for another amazing installment in the gritty and heartwrenching world that Ellie and Joel fought to survive in. Unfortunately, as everyone knows, the sequel didn’t exactly improve the world as much as butcher it.

Again, while some may disagree, the consensus is that the sequel took something beautiful and massacred it, quite like Vito Corleone’s son. For Juanpablosimono3, the Last Of Us was like Sonny, brutally butchered by poor storytelling despite the divisive nature of the game and a few fans.

There are moments when a fan’s hatred for a game can explode and grow so much that they just don’t care. Not about the game but about other games. Even if another game is bad, they may see it as being better than the one they severely dislike.

So when the Game Of The Year awards came around, fans just didn’t care what game won or what game lost, as shown brilliantly by TheMopBoy. What mattered to them and still does, was that the game they hated the most lost.
