The Masked Dancer Season 1 Episode 5: Reveal, Clues & Predictions

Fans got to see the Super Six perform on The Masked Dancer tonight, and lots of secrets were revealed. Many of this week’s clues definitively confirmed our previous guesses for the dancers’ identities.

This week, the panelists were joined by Whitney Cummings, who had some very solid guesses. For the Super Six episode, fans no longer got the helpful “word up” clue. But this was replaced with something called “rapid-fire.” The panelists were given 15 seconds to rapidly fire questions at the anonymous celebrities. This proved very helpful with some, while other questions didn’t really shed much light. The other new thing this week was super clues, which proved very telling for all six performers.

The six remaining performers pulled out all the stops this week, and it became clear several are professionals. With a few professional dancers in the mix, it also became clear whose time was running out. In the end, the competition proved to be too tough for even a shark. Hammerhead failed to keep his head above water, and was revealed to be none other than Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino, as we previously predicted. We also are pretty confident in the identities of the remaining five dancers.

COTTON CANDY

Song: “Great Balls of Fires” by Jerry Lee Lewis

Clues: Cotton Candy pointed out that she is no stranger to competition. A visual clue was a sign that said practice, practice, practice, with 14 rings. Cotton Candy also said her super clue was a little piece of her. Her super clue was five gold balloons.

Rapid Fire: She has lots of tights at her house. Ice plays a role in her life. She cannot do what she’s known for in heels. She is known for being physically fit.

EXOTIC BIRD

Song: “Rush” by Lewis Capaldi featuring Jessie Reyez

Clues: Visual clues included the Bernie Sanders meme, legendary, $, 143, and rhythm nation. She said she had been made fun of before for her dancing, and that her life has changed since becoming a mama bird. She mentioned she was rediscovering her sultry side. Her super clue was a rose tattoo.

Rapid Fire: She has been in a music video. She has been in a campaign ad. The word model means something to her.

SLOTH

Song: “Aint’ That a Kick In The Head” by Dean Martin

Clues: Sloth said this show made him step out of his comfort zone. A visual clue showed an image of a dad, a mom, and a child. He said he’d be doing a new dance style every week. His super clue was the number 18 on a star mobile. During his routine, Yankee St. was shown.

Rapid Fire: He would be an elephant if he weren’t a sloth. His costume is not making him more at ease. It’s hard being away from family.

HAMMERHEAD

Song: “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” by Santa Esmerelda

Clues: Hammerhead said he might not be the best dancer, but he is loving it. A visual clue was a Las Vegas sign and a map with the New Jersey area circled. His super clue was suntan oil SPF 24/7 called Hammertone. He said he was a fan of working out, is taller than Ken, and has done a little stand-up. He also said he has been to NJ and is a lover of social media.

Rapid Fire: He is known for having a sense of humor. He doesn’t have stage fright. He is not a solo act. He has had a relationship in the public eye.

Prediction: Vinny Guadagnino

TULIP

Song: “Thank U, Next” by Ariana Grande

Clues: A visual clue had three critics with signs saying “not good enough,” and a phone with Masked Dancergram. She said she was going back to her first dancing style. Her super clue was a picture from a second annual mother-daughter dance.

Rapid Fire: She has never thought of where she would retire. She is a pro at memorizing dialogue. Running low on battery on her phone would be worse than running out of gas.

Prediction: Mackenzie Ziegler

ZEBRA

Song: “Mi Gente” by J. Balvin and Willie William

Clues: Zebra said he had two left feet before he was zebra. He said wearing the mask freaked him out because he is claustrophobic. Visual clues included a graham cracker with an E and light bulbs on a pole. His super clue was a shirt with K.O. During his dance, the dancers had 99 on their shirts.

Rapid Fire: He has acted before. When asked if he’s undefeated, he said he’s still here. He is known for a hook. Fans could have heard his music.
