The Masked Singer: Everything To Know About Tori Kelly’s Husband Andre Murillo

On last weeks episode of The Masked Singer, Seahorse was unmasked and revealed to be singer/songwriter Tori Kelly.

Tori rose to fame on YouTube after posting several videos of her singing chops. She later appeared on American Idol where she made it through to Hollywood week in 2010. Tori is now managed by Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber’s manager) and was even nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist in 2016. At the age of 25, she married her long-time love, Andre Murillo in Los Angeles, California. Fans may know a lot about Tori, but who is her hubby Andre Murillo?

According to Biographypedia, Andre was born on May 18, 1990, in Bremerhaven, Germany to German and American parents Michael and Vera Murillo along with his sister Michelle. Even though Andre was born in Germany, he spent his younger days in Lake Forest, California and was a student of El Toro High School. After he graduated, he enrolled at Concordia University where he played basketball from 2008-2009. Andre reportedly left Concordia University after he was stabbed at a party, leaving his heart and lungs in critical condition. He later turned to drugs and his use of them became out of control. As a result, Andre was expelled from Concordia. Thankfully, his life turned around after he turned to faith and decided to enrol in Biola University. Here he majored in Biblical Studies and was also on the basketball team.

The 30 year old is best known for his career in basketball. He began his career by playing for the Hamburg Towers in the German Pro A Basketball League. Once his contract was up with Hamburg, he moved onto Rostock to play for the Seawolves. Besides his basketball career, Andre is known for being the man who stole Tori’s heart. The young couple began dating in 2016 with Andre proposing to Tori the following year. Their wedding took place in 2018 on a beautiful cliff in Los Angeles, California. As of today, the couple do not have any children together, but they do have a dog named Frodo Murillo-Baggins together. Andre also has  nephews and nieces, who he spends a lot of his time with as they are often showed on his Instagram. Tori also she’s his love for religion and the Christian faith as it plays a huge role in their lives. Andre went to a Christian university and Tori has won Grammy’s for her Gospel music.
