The 2021 blockbusterThe Misfits features a cast of notable stars and relative newcomers — here’s a breakdown of the actors involved and who they play. The film was first announced at the Berlin International Film Festival back in 2019. Filming began a week later, with Die Hard 2‘s Renny Harlin directing from Kurt Wimmer and Robert Henny’s script.

Blending elements of Ocean’s Eleven and The Losers, The Misfits centers on a titular group of benevolent criminals. Rather than simply committing crimes for the sake of it, or personal gain, they target corrupt individuals or organizations. Any rewards or profits resulting from their missions is then directly given to those in need. For their latest heist, The Misfits plan to steal a stash of gold that’s hidden in a middle-eastern prison on behalf of a terrorist group.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

From familiar faces to up-and-coming actors, here is every character who appears in The Misfits, who plays them and, what other films and TV shows the cast has previously starred in.

Pierce Brosnan as Richard Pace

Brosnan stars as Richard Pace, an old-school gentleman thief. He is recruited by the titular group for his expertise in breaking in and out of Werner Schultz’s private prisons. Whether or not he can be trusted to stick by The Misfits’ benevolent intentions, however, hangs over the film. The actor is best known for playing James Bond for four installments, starting with GoldenEye in 1995 (although Brosnan almost played 007 much earlier).

Nick Cannon as Ringo

Cannon stars as the Beatles-loving bank robber (and self-proclaimed master of disguise) Ringo. He also serves as The Misfits ringleader and the film’s narrator, filling in the gaps on both the group and their central heist. Despite several acting credits to his name, Cannon is primarily known for hosting such contest shows as The Masked Singer.

Jamie Chung as Violet

Chung stars in The Misfits as the group’s fiercely capable fighter and assassin. Those unique, almost gravity-defying, skills belie deep trust issues. Chung has enjoyed several notable film and TV roles over the last decade. Arguably, however, the actress garnered more widespread recognition for her awards-worthy turn as Ji-Ah in HBO’s Lovecraft Country.

Mike d Angelo as Wick

Angelo stars as the unstable explosives and demolitions expert Wick, with as much a penchant for random bouts of dancing as blowing things up. Angelo is a household name back in his native Thailand, known for roles in such offerings as Full House and Mr. Pride vs Miss Prejudice. He’s best known, however, as one-half of Thai pop duo Golf & Mike.

Rami Jaber as The Prince

As well as producing The Misfits, Jaber stars as The Prince, the con-artist and benefactor that initially brings the group together, and who may or may not be of actual royal descent. He has produced and/or starred in several shorts, movies, and miniseries over the years. Those include the upcoming thriller The Good Neighbor starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Hermione Corfield as Hope Pace

Corfield stars as Hope, Richard Pace’s much more altrustic daughter. Despite dedicating her life to working with UNICEF and helping people, Hope remains no less talented as a thief and pickpocket. The upcoming British actress can be seen playing Cassandra in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, as well as A-Wing Pilot Tallie in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Tim Roth as Werner Schultz

Roth plays the villainous Werner Schultz, the private prison owner and terrorist financier that The Misfits target for their heist. He also shares a deeply personal history with Brosnan’s character. Roth is best known for his work in such Quentin Tarantino offerings as Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. He also plays Emil Blonsky (a.k.a. The Abomination) within the MCU.

The Misfits Supporting Cast

Mansoor Alfeeli as Abu Hirawa: The ruthless head of a terrorist organization that Schultz works with. The actor is best known for lending his voice to the animated series Mansour.

Qais Qandil as Jason Quick: Hirawa’s son and lieutenant. Also producing on the film, The Misfits marks Qandil’s acting debut.

Rik Aby as Abdallah Al Bolooshi: A luckless security chief at the prison that The Misfits target. Aby is credited in several United Arab Emirates’ series including Until Midnight.

Previously released in South Korea and already having received extremely mixed-to-negative reviews, The Misfits officially releases for a short theatrical run on June 11, 2021. It will then move to VOD days later on June 15, 2021. DVD and Blu-ray editions will follow soon after.
