In the first few seasons of The Office, Jim and Pam quickly became one of the most iconic “will they or won’t they?” couples from sitcom history, ranking alongside Cheers’ Sam and Diane and Friends’ Ross and Rachel. In the second half of the series’ run, when they got married and started a family, they became the definition of relationship goals.

Across the show’s nine seasons, Jim and Pam shared a bunch of storylines. Some of them revolved around their relationship, but others simply paired them up in hilarious situations. However, there have only been a few Office episodes that have exemplified Jim and Pam’s lovable dynamic.

10 Casino Night (Season 2, Episode 22)

In the season 2 finale “Casino Night,” Michael puts on an evening of illegal gambling for charity in the warehouse. The episode culminates in Jim and Pam’s first kiss.

As Pam reaffirms her intentions to marry Roy and Jim accepts that he’ll never be with Pam and takes a job in Stamford, it seems like all hope is lost for The Office’s resident “will they or won’t they?” couple. Of course, this is the moment that changes everything as Pam ends her relationship with Roy because of her burgeoning feelings for Jim.

9 Weight Loss (Season 5, Episodes 1/2)

While the rest of the office try to lose weight to gain some extra vacation days in a corporate incentive program in the two-part season 5 premiere “Weight Loss,” Jim and Pam adjust to their long-distance relationship as Pam attends art school in New York.

This episode also contains one of the most heartwarming milestones in Jim and Pam’s relationship. Just before the final weigh-in, Jim drives down to a gas station to propose to Pam in the rain.

8 Christmas Party (Season 2, Episode 10)

The office takes part in Secret Santa in season 2’s “Christmas Party,” and Jim has put a lot of thought into a gift specifically for Pam: a teapot filled with souvenirs from various memories they share.

When everybody wants the iPod that Michael bought for Ryan, Michael institutes “Yankee Swap” and all the gifts start getting passed around. In the end, Pam finally manages to retain the teapot, but Jim swipes a tell-all letter out of it before giving it to her. This letter then makes an appearance in the season 9 finale.

7 The Dundies (Season 2, Episode 1)

In the season 2 premiere “The Dundies,” Michael invites his employees down to Chili’s for the titular awards ceremony. Pam drunkenly kisses Jim during the ceremony and gets banned from Chili’s.

This episode offered the first clear evidence that Jim’s affection for Pam was reciprocated. It’s also sweet to see Jim and Pam step in to support Michael when he’s being bullied by some guys at the bar.

6 Goodbye, Toby (Season 4, Episodes 18/19)

In the season 4 finale “Goodbye, Toby,” Jim decides that Toby’s farewell party in the parking lot is the perfect time and place to propose to Pam and gives the Party Planning Committee a bunch of extra money for an extravagant fireworks display.

However, just when the fireworks go off and Jim is about to get down on one knee, Andy hijacks Jim’s elaborate proposal setup and proposes to Angela, who reluctantly accepts.

5 Company Picnic (Season 5, Episode 28)

Pam’s pregnancy was first teased in the season 5 finale “Company Picnic.” At the eponymous corporate event, the Scranton branch’s team gets ahead in the volleyball tournament because Pam is a volleyball master.

However, Pam sustains an injury during their game against the corporate team and, at Charles Miner’s insistence, Jim takes her to a nearby hospital, where they’re ecstatic to learn that they’re going to have a baby. The beauty of this reveal is in its subtlety. The cameras don’t pick up Jim and Pam’s words, they just capture their joy.

4 The Delivery (Season 6, Episodes 17/18)

In the first part of season 6’s “The Delivery,” Pam tries to make it to midnight before going into labor because her insurance will only cover one night in hospital. Jim freaks out about Pam’s contractions while the rest of the office try to keep her distracted.

In the second part, Pam gives birth to Cece and she and Jim adjust to life as new parents with relatable struggles like getting the baby to latch or stop crying. It was certainly an episode to remember as it was full of gags and hilarious sequences.

3 Money (Season 4, Episodes 7/8)

In the A-plot of season 4’s two-parter “Money,” Jan spends so much of Michael’s money that he has to take a second job as a telemarketer. But in the B-plot, Jim and Pam learn that Schrute Farms has a bed-and-breakfast facility and book a vacation there.

Jim comforts Dwight as he laments Angela and Andy’s engagement, and his heartfelt speech about never giving up hope and the wait being worth it causes him to confess that he loves Pam.

2 Fun Run (Season 4, Episodes 1/2)

The season 4 premiere “Fun Run” primarily revolves around Michael hitting Meredith with his car and then, when she’s diagnosed with rabies, trying to raise money to find a cure – which has already been discovered.

On the sidelines, the episode chronicles the beginning of Jim and Pam’s relationship after Jim impulsively asked out Pam in the season 3 finale. After all the build-up in the first three seasons, PB&J was worth the wait.

1 Niagara (Season 6, Episodes 4/5)

Jim and Pam got married in season 6’s “Niagara” and it was just as sweet and adorable as Office fans had hoped. When Pam’s veil is torn on a doorway, Jim comforts her by cutting his tie in half with a pair of scissors.

Without a doubt, the greatest moment in the episode is the “JK Wedding Entrance Dance” homage intercut with Jim and Pam’s secret wedding ceremony on the Maid of the Mist IV ferry boat.
