Most sitcoms have a will they/won’t they? romance brewing between two of its main characters. From the very beginning of The Office, it was clear that Jim was in love with Pam — and it seemed very possible that the feeling was mutual — but unfortunately, Pam was engaged to a jerk named Roy, so a coupling seemed unlikely.

Of course, love prevailed. After six seasons of flirting, being apart, dating other people, eventually getting together, trying to make long-distance work, and enjoying their own engagement for a while, Jim and Pam finally tied the knot in the beloved two-part episode “Niagara.”

10 Mental Pictures

On the drive up to Niagara Falls, Pam tells Jim that her aunt gave her a neat tip. Since weddings go by quickly, Pam’s aunt said she should take mental pictures throughout the day.

Jim starts them off by taking a mental picture of Pam, then complains that she was blinking and that image will be stuck in his head forever.

9 Dwight Tests Michael’s Loyalty

Michael finds himself without a hotel room because he didn’t reserve one, and asks Dwight if he can stay in his. He claims that he’d let Dwight stay in his room if their roles were reversed, so Dwight tests that.

He tells Michael that there’s been a mistake and the room is his, then asks if he can stay there. Michael falls for the trick and turns him down. Then, Dwight reveals the gambit and leaves for his room.

7 Jim Reveals Pam’s Pregnancy

Before heading up to Niagara Falls for the wedding, Jim and Pam stress that no one is to mention Pam’s pregnancy because Pam’s conservative grandmother will be there, so they’re keeping it a secret.

The expectation is that loose-lipped Michael — who told the entire office about Jim’s crush on Pam and revealed Stanley’s affair to his wife — will spill the beans. But surprisingly, it’s Jim.

6 Twins

Just as Michael is striking up a conversation with a woman at the bar about Pixar’s movies, he ditches her when Dwight informs him of some nearby twins.

However, when Dwight takes him to the twins, he’s disappointed to discover that they’re actually men, which wasn’t a part of his fantasy.

5 Andy Punctures His Scrotum

On the night before the wedding, Andy hosts a party in his hotel room. He does a number of novel dance moves to impress his guests, and then offers to do a banana split. However, he’s never done one before and it goes about as horribly you’d think.

As soon as Andy hits the floor, he starts screaming, as his car keys in his pocket have poked through and punctured his scrotum.

4 Kevin’s Shoes Are Destroyed

The night before the wedding, Kevin left his shoes outside his room to be cleaned. However, the next morning, they’re not there, so he goes down to the front desk to inquire about their whereabouts. The manager informs him that the stench of his shoes overwhelmed the hotel staff and they decided that the safest option would be to destroy them.

So, Kevin is left without shoes ahead of the ceremony and he’s forced to wear tissue boxes on his feet. Paired with his Ashton Kutcher toupee, it’s quite an ensemble.

3 Jim Cuts His Tie

Pam has a mini breakdown after her veil catches on a doorway and tears. She calls in Jim, despite it being bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding, because she needs to be comforted.

When she’s telling him about the one thing she could control going wrong, Jim takes a pair of scissors and cuts his tie in half. “There. Now, we’re even.”

2 The JK Wedding Entrance Dance Parody

When Jim and Pam return to their guests in the church following their secret wedding at the falls, the ceremony begins, the organ music cuts out, and Dwight plays Chris Brown’s “Forever” on an iPod speaker instead in a parody of the YouTube sensation “JK Wedding Entrance Dance.”

Later, Jim tells the camera that this is exactly what he expected to happen. He says, “I bought those boat tickets the day I saw that YouTube video.”

1 Jim And Pam’s Secret Wedding

Jim and Pam sneak away from the church to go and get married on a ferry boat at the falls. They almost eloped a few episodes earlier in “Café Disco,” and that’s how they ended up tying the knot.

The audience doesn’t get to see where Jim and Pam disappeared to until the middle of the “JK Wedding Entrance Dance” homage, which cuts to a montage of the couple getting on the Maid of the Mist ferry and being married.
