Erin Hannon started out as the new, quiet receptionist after Pam left Dunder Mifflin for the Michael Scott Paper Company, but she soon transformed into everyone’s lovable front desk person. Erin is filled with so much radiant energy that it’s hard not to be around her. Sure, she says some silly things in her talking heads but she’s no worse than Michael or even Dwight.

Over the years, Erin’s wardrobe changed with her personality. The bubblier she became, the more color she added into her everyday ensembles. However, not every outfit was the best choice for her personality or character.

10 Best: Livin’ The Dream

At the beginning of the ninth season, Erin is subtly torn between Andy and Pete. Andy has turned into a different person after his three-month getaway and Erin became closer to Pete while he was away. In the episode “Livin’ The Dream,” even more changes ensue. Andy tries to get fired from Dunder Mifflin now that he and Erin are no longer together and Erin is happy with Pete. In the episode, Erin is wearing a pretty pink blouse with a maroon pencil skirt and it looks lovely with the color of her hair. She looks like a hopeless romantic in this outfit.

9 Worst: Murder

In the episode “Murder,” Erin is still relatively new to Dunder Mifflin and is getting to know the ins and outs of the office and her new co-workers. And by the looks of this outfit, she’s also learning what her style is.

This look doesn’t match the Erin Hannon fans know and love. A crochet sweater? A plaid shirt? We don’t see Erin in beige or tan colors too often, which is a good thing. We love her in colorful tops and dresses because it matches her joyful personality.

8 Best: Series Finale

In the series finale, the whole gang is getting ready for Dwight and Angela’s wedding. After years of playing cat and mouse, they were finally tying the knot! Everyone looked fantastic for the big day, including Erin. She wore a beautiful white dress with spring flowers all over it. To match, she wore her hair in a pretty bun to keep her hair out of her face. Erin brought a classic elegance with this dress. Even though you’re not supposed to wear white to a wedding, Erin did it in a lovely way.

7 Worst: Happy Hour

In the episode “Happy Hour,” Oscar puts together a happy hour for the entire office at a local bar. At this time, Erin and Andy just started to secretly date and weren’t ready to tell people about their romance yet. The more people know about it, the more dramatic things become (especially at Dunder Mifflin).

As Erin and Andy are talking about their forbidden romance, Erin is wearing an outfit that doesn’t really look like her. She’s wearing a blue shirt with a brown jacket on top. She looks very business professional but fans love seeing Erin her go-to colorful sweaters. Not boring old brown and blue.

6 Best: Viewing Party

Erin and Gabe were an odd couple but they somehow made sense. It was obvious that Gabe loved Erin far more than she would ever like him, but she gave the relationship her best shot.

To welcome their co-workers into their lives, Erin and Gabe threw a Glee viewing party at Gabe’s house. Erin was excited to be a host and looked perfect in her little cocktail dress and gold sweater. She looked like someone who had their ducks in a row and was proud to be with someone like Gabe (for the time being, anyway).

5 Worst: Sex Ed

These boring tops on Erin don’t do her any justice. They’re not fitted nicely, the color is off, the style is all wrong… Fans love when Erin is wearing her traditional fun colors and prints. From neon green sweaters to polka dots, Erin can pull off what a 10-year-old is wearing to school. The outfit she’s wearing in “Sex Ed” looks like she’s trying to be someone she’s not.

4 Best: Moving On

In the episode “Moving On,” Erin is starting off fresh. She just broke up with Andy and is in a new, happy relationship with Pete. But when Andy finds out that Erin and Pete are dating, he becomes irate. To get back at Erin for being happy, he hires Pete’s ex-girlfriend to come in for some marketing and invites Gabe back in town. Among the exes, Andy was hoping to break Erin and Pete up but it didn’t turn out that way. Sadly for Andy, not only did it bring Pete and her closer together but she looked amazing in this white top and polka-dotted sweater.

3 Worst: Sabre

“Sabre” was a huge episode for The Office because there were unforeseen changes in the air. Sabre bought Dunder Mifflin, which meant new bosses, new sales techniques, and new products. To welcome Gabe to Scranton, Erin and Andy sang him a song they wrote about Sabre. Funny enough, Erin and Andy pronounced Sabre wrong throughout the entire song, ruining the moment. Nevertheless, Erin wore this brown shirt with a belt on top. Fashion was different in 2010 but Erin looks so much happier in pinks and yellows and shapes than boring, old brown.

2 Best: Couples Discount

In the episode “Couples Discount,” Erin is back from his time away and is as insufferable as ever. Erin is unhappy and has been for weeks. She planned on breaking up with him but has a hard time doing so when Andy begs her not to. He promised her they would fall in love again but deep down Erin knew she had enough. Before she actually breaks up with Andy, Erin is wearing the most perfect outfit. Her bow-themed top looked precious with her black and brown vintage skirt. It’s times like these that fans are envious of Erin’s fashion choices.

1 Worst: First Day

The Erin Hannon we know and love in season nine is different from the timid Erin Hannon we met in season six. Personality traits aside, Erin’s fashion also changed. The images above were from Erin’s first day at Dunder Mifflin (and on The Office). She wore a purple sweater with stripes and gold buttons, which seemed to age her by a couple of years. Erin looks great for a day at work but this sweater looks like something Angela or Phyllis would wear.
