The characters of The Office sure knew how to get into the Halloween spirit based on their vast array of costumes throughout nine seasons of the NBC sitcom. As one of the network’s primetime headliners, Greg Daniels’ comedy series put a lot of effort into celebrating the holidays, especially when it came to October 31st. Looking back, several characters went above and beyond when it came to developing memorable Halloween get-ups.

Since work never seemed like a priority for the employees featured in The Office, it wasn’t difficult for them to push their duties aside for an annual Halloween bash. Manager Michael Scott was never one to pass up a party, and the official Party Planning Committee certainly didn’t want to let their fellow co-workers down when the special day came around. Sometimes the events went even too far, considering Netflix cut the Halloween cold-open from season 6 for pushing the boundaries.

Even after the Dunder Mifflin manager left, Halloween parties carried on. Here’s a breakdown of the most notable Halloween costumes from The Office.
