Michael Scott is a man of many strange behaviors. Aside from his childlike personality and the inability to refrain from “that’s what she said” jokes, Michael’s dietary habits have also been called into question. The Office fans have seen Michael binge eat fettucini alfredo before a race, down a family-sized chicken pot pie at lunch, and ask for Splenda after drinking a celebrated, dated scotch with David Wallace.

But that’s not all. Michael’s eating habits are downright concerning. It’s no wonder he requested dental insurance after selling the Michael Scott Paper Company to Dunder Mifflin. His notorious soft teeth aren’t getting the most nutritious foods…

10 Apple Pie For Breakfast

In the episode “Classy Christmas,” Michael’s attempt at wooing Holly fail after he finds out that she’s still with her boyfriend AJ. The entire office could feel his heartache, which only made the Christmas party worse. And unfortunately, Darryl had his daughter Jada with him. He was expecting to show her Santa Claus but Michael’s sour mood kills that dream.

However, thanks to Andy and Pam, the Christmas party turns around. Darryl and Jada go into the breakroom and grab a bunch of snacks to pass out to the office as gifts. Jada hands Michael an apple pie to which brightens his day because he has a Hostess apple pie every morning for breakfast…

9 Milk & Sugar!

When Pam, Ryan, and Michael were trying to get Michael Scott Paper Company off the ground, they were working late hours and early mornings to make it happen. One particular morning, Pam was feeling tired and asked Michael if he had any coffee in the car. Michael said “milk and sugar” and gave Pam the large jug.

Pam takes a sip and is startled to find out that what she was drinking was not coffee with milk and sugar. It was just milk and sugar… Pam asked if he drank just milk and sugar every day and he said “every morning.” Drinking milk and sugar isn’t the worst thing he’s done but it’s pretty gross.

8 Morning Bacon

When it comes to mornings, Michael will do anything to make his a happier one. But it wasn’t until “The Injury” that fans knew just how far Michael took his desires.

In the episode, Pam answers a call from a frantic Michael. He was screaming in pain and claimed he burned his foot. Michael told the camera crew that every night before he goes to bed, he lays six strips of bacon on his George Foreman Grill and places it next to his bed. In the morning, Michael turns the grill on so he can wake up to the smell of bacon. He claimed to do it every morning because it’s delicious and good for him. But leaving meat unrefrigerated overnight sounds like a good way to get sick. It should be noted that it’s not weird that he eats bacon in the morning — it’s how he does it.

7 Cola & Sugar

In one episode of The Office, Michael is pouring sugar into a can of cola. Any kind of soda is already sugar-filled, so adding even more is bound to give a person a sugar rush.

Michael appears to be a sugar fiend and opts for sweets over just about anything else. Watching him add sugar to a sugary drunk has to be one of the most on-brand things for Michael Gary Scott, but it’s still shocking to see…

6 Scotch & Splenda

Michael appears to be more of a foodie than a person who enjoys expensive alcohol. This proves true in the episode “Cocktails” when David Wallace gave him a glass of 20-year old single-malt scotch. Everyone in the room sips the scotch with great appreciation but Michael began coughing it up. He then asks David if he had some Splenda.

Years later, Michael quits Dunder Mifflin and begins drinking in the office because he has nothing else to do. And just like in “Cocktails,” Michael poured Splenda in his scotch because it “tastes like Splenda but gets you drunk like scotch.”

5 Steak & Wine

In the iconic episode “Dinner Party,” the tension between Michael and Jan could be cut with a knife. They were not getting along but invited their friends from work for a dinner party anyway. After throwing jabs at each other all night, they were both at each other’s throats by the time dinner hit the table. Michael was seen dipping a piece of steak into his red wine because it was dry but when Jan called him out for it, he claimed he had soft teeth. At that time, his response didn’t matter to Jan. She was disturbed by more than his eating habits.

4 Grenadine

In the episode “Happy Hour,” Michael is thrilled that he was invited to happy hour with his colleagues. To make his night even better, he found out that Pam was trying to set him up with one of her cute friends. Instead of being himself, Michael transformed into a man that he thought his date would like better. But all he ended up doing was scaring her away.

He did, however, attract another woman at the bar: Donna. Donna was the manager and began flirting with Michael the more they talked. When she asked Michael what he would like to drink at the bar, he said “grenadine.” Considering grenadine is just a sugary syrup added to drinks, this is hardly surprising that it’s Michael’s drink of choice.

3 Family-Sized Chicken Pot Pie

The Scranton branch would do anything to get out of work early and they took the chance when they saw Michael eat an entire family-sized chicken pot pie for lunch. He ate the entire thing so fast that he fell asleep at his desk for hours. The office then changed all the clocks in the office to 5 pm so they could leave “early.” And due to Michael’s food coma, it worked!

2 His Obsession With Filet-O-Fish

When an attractive woman shows up at the office hoping to sell her purses, Michael gives her the entire conference room to display her wares. He only does this because he found her attractive and spent the entire morning flirting with her. He eventually wins her over when he offers her a ride home and she accepts.

With Ryan’s help, Michael ran to his car to clean it so that it would look good. While cleaning, Ryan found a bunch of Filet-O-Fish wrappers and asked Michael how many of them he ate. Michael was embarrassed by the question and claimed they’re from different occasions, but it was still too many wrappers to be considered healthy.

1 Mayo & Black Olives

In the sixth season, Michael fears his girlfriend Donna is cheating on him. He turns food to make himself feel better and heads to the kitchen for ice cream. The only problem is they were all out.

So, what does Michael do? He combines mayonnaise and black olives together and eats it as if it were ice cream. Jim and Pam were horrified when they learned what Michael was doing but he claimed it was “comfort food.” Does that mean Michael has done this before?
