Amid Porsha Williams’ exit from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, fans are taking a look back at all of the alums who previously left the show. Porsha announced her exit shortly after Cynthia Bailey confirmed her departure. Cynthia was an older veteran than Porsha, making her inception on RHOA season 3 as the fiance of ex-husband Peter Thomas. Ahead of Cynthia’s exit, viewers got to see her get married and divorced from Peter before getting remarried to her current husband Mike Hill.

As Cynthia now closes her chapter on RHOA, she can return in a “friend of” role and pursue other endeavors. Porsha’s exit was surprising but had been rumored for weeks. Insiders say she was reluctant to return due to all the criticism she’s been receiving over her engagement to Simon Guobadia. It appeared as though Porsha’s friendships within the cast were severed after she and Simon went public. Porsha has said Drew Sidora is the only one who showed support for her newfound love. With her leaving the show, viewers are skeptical about how interesting season 14 will be.

Porsha and Cynthia’s departure announcements came one year after the last reigning OG cast member, NeNe Leakes, announced her exit. The Housewives fandom was shocked by NeNe’s exit considering how much power she had on the franchise. NeNe had starred on the show since its debut and despite brief pauses, there was never a season where NeNe wasn’t involved until season 13. The first season without NeNe proved to be one of the most dismal resulting in the lowest viewership in RHOA history. While many viewers would love to see NeNe come back, the boycott she launched against the network after her exit will likely prevent her from returning anytime soon.

Other alums ahead of NeNe include Eva Marcille, who left on RHOA season 12 after three seasons. One-season housewife Shamari Devoe left after making a ruckus in season 11. She was upset with her portrayal on the show and opted out of another season. Season 10 was Sheree Whitfield’s last full-time role on the show, but the OG is set to return in season 14. She starred in the first four seasons before leaving and returning as a friend on RHOA season 9. In turn, season 9 was the last time Phaedra Parks was featured on the show. She is the only housewife to be fired for spreading rumors about another cast member. Her false claims against Kandi Burruss resulted in her getting the boot and being banned from returning as long as Kandi is on the show.

RHOA season 8 included one-season housewife Kim Fields. However, the actress just wasn’t able to handle all the heat that her co-stars are known to throw and left after just one season. Season 7 also saw a one-season housewife in Claudia Jordan. While she was able to hold her own against NeNe, her snappy clap backs might’ve rubbed NeNe the wrong way and resulted in her being demoted the next season. Rather than see a pay cut, she opted out of returning. Season 5 was the last time fans got to see Kim Zolciak-Biermann as a Housewives cast member. She stormed off-set and went on to star in her own eight-season spin-off. Season 1 and 2 housewives who were never seen again include Lisa Hartwell and DeShawn Snow. After 13 years on air, The Real Housewives of Atlanta has seen a lot of old and new faces. Now, it looks like more new faces will be coming as two more women make their exits.
