It’s been eight years since Saturday Night Live performed a sketch that’s still talked about by Bravo fans: The Real Housewives of Disney. Starring Kristen Wiig as Cinderella, Lindsay Lohan as Rapunzel, Taran Killam as Prince Charming, Vanessa Bayer as Snow White, Nasim Pedrad as Princess Jasmine, and Abby Elliott as Belle, the short sketch hilariously nailed The Real Housewives essence in a short period of time.

While a Real Housewives franchise revolving around Disney princesses sounds magical, this SNL skit is the closest thing Bravo fans will get to it. To see what the sketch nailed and what needs a little work, keep scrolling!

10 Dead On: The Taglines

Real Housewives fans can’t wait for the start of a new season because it means fresh taglines! The intro includes a lineup of the housewives with a short tagline describing their role in that season’s show. In this spoof, the taglines were on point.

Among the five princesses, the best were definitely Snow White’s (“I’m the fairest of them all…until you cross me”) and Princess Jasmine’s (“I don’t need to rub a lamp to get what I want”).

9 Missed The Mark: Prince Charming

Taran Killam does an amazing job of portraying Prince Charming from Cinderella, but in this sketch, there’s a twist on his character. His relationship with Cinderella is nothing like the fairy tale’s, and it appears he has a wandering eye for men.

Besides the character change, anything small thing that misses the mark is how involved Charming is in the drama. On The Real Housewives, husbands definitely get involved with some of the arguments, but Prince Charming appears to be as dramatic as the women are.

8 Dead On: The Iconic Dinner Scene Where Tears Are Shed

Arguments can happen at any time on The Real Housewives, but some of the best ones happen around a dinner table. When the drinks start flowing, and women start bringing up controversial topics, the best scenes come from it. In this sketch, SNL nailed it on the head.

Rapunzel was hosting a castle warming party, and all the ladies are at the dinner party talking about an upcoming vacation. Belle holds up a $25,000 bikini top and laughs how they can all afford it, but in a blink of an eye, Princess Jasmine starts bawling her eyes out and runs away. Cinderella told the camera that she and Aladdin were broke because she used up all her wishes!

7 Missed The Mark: Housewives Have Stunning Interview Looks

As perfect as this sketch is, the one thing that missed the mark was the interview looks. One of the best parts about The Real Housewives is seeing what the ladies choose to wear in their interview.

It’s that time in the series where the ladies talk to producers about what really happened and their thoughts on the situation. These interviews typically get made into memes and Gifs because they’re so iconic. It would have been amazing to see the Disney Princesses in an epic new look for their interviews.

6 Dead On: The Aspiring Singing Career

Fans can’t blame some of the housewives for trying to launch spinoff careers outside of the show to earn even more income. Melissa Gorga (RHONJ), Kim Zolciak-Biermann (RHOA), Countess Luann (RHONY), and Erika Jayne (RHOBH) are just some of the housewives who have entertained the music industry while being filmed for Bravo.

In this sketch, Bell gets all the girls to huddle around the living room as she introduces her newest song. With lyrics like “Be our guest, be our guest, caviar, Versace!”, SNL killed it.

5 Missed The Mark: Lindsay Lohan As Rapunzel

Considering this sketch hit SNL back in 2012, this was when Lindsay Lohan was trying to make a comeback. As the guest star on the show, she starred as Rapunzel and was hosting the “castle warming party.” However, it seems like Lohan missed the mark.

While every other princess had people laughing at their taglines, they were silent for Lohan’s. Whether it was Lohan’s delivery or maybe just her image at the time, maybe another actress would have been better for this sketch.

4 Dead On: The Undercover Marital Issues

Every fan of reality TV loves a good relationship meltdown. It’s fascinating to see how other couples argue and get through dark times. In The Real Housewives, there’s a high percent chance that there’s relationship drama in every season. Divorces, breakups, allegations, there’s always something brewing.

SNL made sure to include relationship drama in their sketch. Cinderella and Prince Charming appear to be estranged (“Here’s some good advice, never marry a guy who’s really into shoes”), and Princes Jasmine cheated on Aladdin with *GASP* Lago!

3 Missed The Mark: Cinderella Is A Drunk?!

As hilarious as Kristen Wiig is as a drunken Cinderella (her tagline is “And I’m a huge f**king mess”), Disney fans never pegged Cinderella to have a drinking problem. Then again, like in most Housewives cities, once a marriage breaks down, the drinks start flowing.

When women on the show do show signs of a drinking problem, it typically becomes part of the main storyline, and the women try to resolve the problem (just think of Kyle and Kim Richards), but in this skit, Cinderella is hung out to dry.

2 Dead On: The Hilarious Interviews

While the Real Housewives of Disney missed the mark for their interview looks, their interviews were totally on point.

Cinderella talks about Jasmine being broke, Snow White freaks out over Cinderella dissing dwarves, Rapunzel blames Jasmine for cooking Abu — it’s all iconic. Some of the best interview moments were done by Prince Charming though. He was even cattier than the ladies!

1 Missed The Mark: Belle’s Boombox

If Belle was boasting about a $25,000 bikini, why in the world was she lugging around a boombox to play her song?! These are real housewives!

They always have the best of the best and judge others for having anything less. In the year 2012, Belle should have had an iPod dock at least!
