Animal Crossing: New Horizons has many new opportunities for player creativity and there’s no better time than Halloween to take advantage of it. Thanks to all the seasonal features that have been added, like the pumpkin decorations, dream islands are more ready than ever for some fun trick or treating. Or, better yet, October is the perfect time of year to explore all the creepy islands other players have uploaded online.

The terraforming tools and customization options in the game let players build anything from horror novel locations to unnerving art galleries. For those looking to experience Halloween early, or are unable to trick or treat this year, check out these 6 spooky New Horizons dream addresses to visit.

6 Halloween Animal Crossing Islands

Aika Village – 1182-7179-4326

  • Returning from New Leaf is the famous Aika Village. While the iconic red doll returns, don’t expect a repeat of the original; this island has completely new scares. From a beach full of stuffed mailboxes to a room full of scarecrows, there’s less blood and more bizarre in this eerie town. With all the new terraforming features in New Horizons, the new Aika Village goes above and beyond what the original could. What could it all mean?

Silent Hill – 0167-0836-7272

  • This next island has décor and architecture inspired by the Silent Hill series. As expected, a crossover with this well-known horror franchise comes with many spooky locations for players to explore, like a dilapidated fairground and several haunted houses. Thankfully, there aren’t any Silent Hill monsters roaming around to attack the player. The creator of this town goes by cassisgummi on Youtube.

Purgatory – 1254-1317-4420

  • This dream address, built by Animal Crossing filmmaker Evil Imp on Youtube, features their depiction of Purgatory, filled with blazing fires in every corner. How long did it take to craft all those bonfires? Regardless, there are more oddities to see than just the infernos, like a room full of skeletons and a hedge maze to explore.

Underworld – 9184-7436-2844

  • As its name implies, this dream features another unsettling depiction of the afterlife (and not a British music group). Each segment of the town is based on a different sin, whether it be Gluttony or Pride, and has appropriate decorations to boot. Not to mention, a haunted house filled with bloodstains. It’s all one could ask for a Halloween town.

The Overlook Hotel – 0480-2729-0811

  • The iconic setting from Stephen King’s novel, The Shining, has been recreated by a reddit user named foxymulder. Visit this hotel and its hedge maze to experience scenes from the film, like the bar, and walk over the memorable patterned carpet. It’s like being on set or taking a museum tour!

Azurebay – 9690-9254-2028

  • While this island is not as scary as the others, barring the thundering rainstorm, it’s perfect for Halloween trick or treating. Venture through this cozy Autumn village as if one were strolling through a friendly neighborhood on October 31st. Even though this town is a little tamer than the others listed, one of the basements holds a frightening surprise.
