Katerina Petrova (Nina Dobrev) was the ultimate fashion star of the mega-popular TV show The Vampire Diaries. Katerina is one of the villains of the show, but the audience adored her and the style she rocked. Katerina’s outfits went from old fashion, hand made and puffy dresses to modern sexy and edgy ones.

After Katerina was kicked out of her house by her father for bringing shame to her family, she was homeless and could not afford to own expensive and good quality dresses. That is why in the beginning in 1490 in Bulgaria we see her as a girl that wears simple and plain dresses but thriving to reach the top of the high society.

The rising of Katerina started when she becomes a vampire and when she met the original vampire Elijah. She wore a stunning green, long dress topped with some hand made necklace and earrings. That is when we finally see Katerina in something more suitable for her.

From the first time Katerina was introduced to the Salvadore household and the two brothers Stefan and Damon Salvadore, she was breathtaking. Since she would become wealthier and a member of high-class society, she would have to dress properly.
