The Voice returns for season 16 to spotlight a new group of vocalists. The main cast of celebrity coaches is back, including Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson. They’ll be joined by the multi-talented John Legend, one of the 21st century’s most renowned vocalists. Below, we’ll explain what you need to know about The Voice’s season premiere, and how to watch it.

Hosted by Carson Daly, The Voice originally premiered in 2011. With its blind round audition premise, the series immediately became a pop culture sensation. Four celebrities listen to performances (blind auditions) and have the option to press a button and turn around, thus offering their approval. From there, the contestants can choose which celebrity they’d like to work with. If only one celebrity turns around, then they are automatically paired with the contestant. Over the subsequent weeks, singers face off against teammates in battle rounds, before moving onto the final live rounds, all the while receiving guidance from pre-arranged celebrity mentors. For all 16 seasons, Levine and Shelton have served as celebrity coaches on The Voice.

Here are the specifics about how to access The Voice 2019.

WHEN DOES THE VOICE 2019 AIR?

On February 25, 2019 at 8/7c, The Voice will kick off a new season. Audiences can expect the same structural format, complete with various blind auditions. This time around, the coaches have enlisted a brand new group of celebrity mentors. During the battle rounds, American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth will join Team Adam, while R&B star Khalid will assist Team John. As for the country star Shelton, he’s enlisted the iconic duo Brooks & Dunn for assistance. Meanwhile, country pop star Kelsea Ballerini will join Team Kelly.

The Voice will air every Monday night. After the initial premiere, the second episode will air on Tuesday, February 26. For the subsequent two months, however, The Voice will only air on Mondays. This is because Ellen’s Game of Thrones will air on the same network every Tuesday night through April 16. On Tuesday, April 23, The Voice will resume airing on both Mondays and Tuesdays.
