The characters of Amazon Prime’s The Wilds are among the fittest to compete in a Hunger Games style battle. While they aren’t trained fighters or competitors, a lot of the combatants in the Hunger Games were in the same boat and had to learn in the heat of the action.

That’s something the girls from The Wilds can relate to as they are thrown onto an island without any experience or preparedness and must fight to survive the harsh conditions. They all showcased a fair amount of toughness but having to kill opponents in the Hunger Games is something some would handle better than others.

10 Fatin Jadmani

In terms of purely looking at the girls on the island, Fatin Jadmani stands out as the one you wouldn’t think could survive. She isn’t particularly strong and she cares more about material things than the other girls. It made her a liability at several moments throughout the series.

She did come through a handful of times for the others when it wasn’t expected, meaning she could surprise in the Games. However, her inability to physically overpower anyone would hurt her. Plus, she can be standoffish, which would probably not earn her many sponsors.

9 Toni Shalifoe

Toni Shalifoe is one of the toughest girls on the island. She has no problem standing up for herself and getting into fights, which would be fitting for the Games. There is a major glaring issue for her, which is her temper. Toni is known to fly off the handle and do irrational things.

There’s a good chance she would make a rash decision or two that could cost her. Toni wouldn’t be popular with sponsors as she’s not a people pleaser and she showed over and over that she wasn’t a team player. Sometimes, having allies are the way to go in the Games.

8 Rachel Reid

On paper, Rachel Reid has all of the qualities needed to survive the Hunger Games. She’s tough, fierce, and is an incredible athlete. As a competitive diver, she has a great chance of performing well if these particular Games are held near water or on the island from the series.

Rachel would run into trouble with the fact that her sister is competing. The two are often there for each other and it could prevent them from taking the other out. Plus, Rachel is similar to Toni in that she can be difficult in teams and can let her emotions get the best of her.

7 Leah Rilke

While every character on the show is complex, Leah Rilke is arguably the biggest enigma. She began things as a seemingly weak-willed girl who was lovesick and couldn’t stand up for herself. As the show progressed, Leah started showing signs of being a stronger person.

She also gets major points for the way that she uses her brains. It’s Leah who realizes that things aren’t what they seem on the island. She’s also the one who uncovers Nora’s secret and finds out about the test happening on the other island at the end. Those qualities would serve her well but her demeanor would not help with sponsors.

6 Jeanette Dao

Jeanette Dao is easily one of the most difficult people to nail down from the show. When she’s first introduced, she seemed like a stereotypical young girl who just listened to corny pop music. She shockingly died soon after the plane crashed and never got to really live on the island.

That makes it hard to know how she’d fare in the Games. That said, a flashback episode showed that she was in on the whole thing and worked behind the scenes with Gretchen. Jeanette was clearly smart, cunning, and didn’t seem to mind getting her hands dirty, indicating she might do well.

5 Martha Blackburn

Martha Blackburn is basically the opposite of Toni or Rachel. They look like they could physically handle themselves at first glance while Martha is clearly a sweetheart who cares about the little things. She doesn’t have much experience in a Games like situation and isn’t going to outrun anyone.

Martha also showed that she didn’t even want to kill a goat for food when they were starving. However, she eventually went ahead and did it on her own. It proved that Martha would kill if she was forced to. It may take a while for her to get to that point but if she can survive until then, she has a chance to win.

4 Gretchen Klein

Along the same lines as Jeanette, Gretchen Klein is the only other character who audiences didn’t see live on the island. That makes it tough to know how she’d handle herself in a life or death situation. Still, she is similar to Jeanette in the fact that she’s brilliant.

Gretchen is the kind of person who is a genius but also somewhat mad. She’s willing to go to great lengths and sacrifice lives to make her point. While her physical prowess is unknown, if she believed winning was going to help her cause, she’d kill anyone to do so.

3 Nora Reid

There were a lot of questions surrounding Nora Reid throughout the show. As Rachel’s twin, she had a built-in relationship but otherwise, not much was known about her. She would spout off seemingly random facts that displayed her intelligence but that’s about it. That wouldn’t make her a popular choice to win the Hunger Games.

Alas, that all changed when it was revealed that she was working for Gretchen. It displayed that she was willing to do horrible things and she was smart enough to lead Leah into a trap. She may not be able to kill Rachel but if someone else did, Nora would probably be enough of a survivor to win out against them.

2 Shelby Goodkind

Shelby Goodkind is another character who is kind of like Martha. She doesn’t give off the vibe of someone who was particularly tough but there’s more to her than meets the eye. The beauty pageant queen from a conservative Christian family proved that she had survival skills.

In the past, she went on hunting trips so she knew how to find food and track people, which are key aspects during the Games. There’s also the fact that Shelby knows how to play to a crowd and that would be almost guaranteed to earn her some pivotal sponsors.

1 Dot Campbell

It’s widely agreed upon that Dot Campbell is the show’s best character. She has a tragic and sympathetic backstory and she’s also an incredibly likable girl. Of course, that’s not enough to win the Hunger Games. Thankfully, Dot also has plenty of skills that would help her.

She is right up there with Shelby in terms of wilderness survival skills, knowing how to ration food, hunt, and other things along those lines. Dot was also the group’s leader, proving that she could be the captain of sorts to any team formed during the Games. Plus, she took care of her dying father in the past, giving her some medical experience in case she got hurt.
