Thor 4 Villain Gorr’s MCU Design Revealed By Love & Thunder Merch

New Thor: Love and Thunder LEGO sets reveal Thor Odinson (Chris Hemsworth) and Jane Foster a.k.a. Mighty Thor (Natalie Portman) fighting Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale). The fourth installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Thor franchise is one of three new movies coming in 2022 from Marvel Studios. After the reinvention of the god of thunder in Thor: Ragnarok, the return of director Taika Waititi for Thor: Love and Thunder quickly made audiences excited to see what would come next.

Plot details for Thor 4 are still largely under wraps, although it is known that the movie will have a double-dose of Thors. Hemsworth returns as the MCU’s usual God of Thunder, who has shed the weight put on during Avengers: Endgame. But, Thor: Love and Thunder also features the surprise return of Portman as Jane Foster as the movie will transform her into Mighty Thor. With the two versions of Thor present, the sequel sees the debut of Christian Bale as the villainous Gorr the God Butcher. Their combined power levels gives Thor 4 an opportunity to feature some spectacular fights between them.

Thanks to the first official LEGO set for Thor: Love and Thunder, audiences now have a tease of Thor and Jane Foster fighting Gorr. Marvel officially released the first look at The Goat Boat LEGO set set for release to promote Thor 4. The box for the set shows Mighty Thor and Gorr fighting in mid-air with Thor shooting some lighting at the villain from the deck of the Asgardian ship. The set also includes figures for Korg (Taika Waititi), King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), and Thor’s legendary goats, Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder.

This LEGO set is the latest look at Thor: Love and Thunder to come from merchandise. However, this is the first official use of Gorr in any marketing materials for the movie. The LEGO figure gives audiences a general idea of how Bale’s MCU villain will look, even if it isn’t a detailed translation of his live-action appearance. Gorr is equipped with a black sword in these sets, though, which is surely All-Black the Necrosword. He’s shown using it to fight Mighty Thor and her reconstructed Mjolnir while Thor continues using Stormbreaker to fight.

With more promotional materials for Thor: Love and Thunder being released, it hopefully won’t be too long before a proper look at the movie arrives. There was speculation a teaser trailer would drop during the Super Bowl, but Thor 4‘s first trailer didn’t arrive. The wait likely won’t be much longer as the film’s early July release date inches closer and now that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness received an official trailer. When Thor: Love and Thunder‘s trailer is released, hopefully it includes a glimpse of Thor and Mighty Thor fighting Gorr in live-action.
