The actors who have portrayed the iconic serial killer, Michael Myers, reunite outside the Halloween house in a new behind-the-scenes image. Although set in the fictional Haddonfield, Illinois, John Carpenter’s original 1978 Halloween film was filmed in Southern California. Using actual locations instead of shooting on a sound stage, an abandoned house in South Pasadena served as the Myers house. Since its original location on Meridian Avenue, the house has been preserved and moved to 1103 Fairview Avenue at Oxley Street, which franchise fans can visit.

Over the years, many different actors have portrayed the legendary killer, Michael Myers. In Carpenter’s original film, two actors played the killer, with Nick Castle playing the masked maniac and Tony Moran playing the unmasked version, while James Winburn was the stunt performer for the Michael Myers role. Additionally, Will Sandin played the six-year-old Myers in the original movie’s opening. In the most recent revamp of the series, James Jude Courtney plays Michael in 2018’s Halloween and the upcoming Halloween Kills and the soon-to-film Halloween Ends. Michael has also been played by other actors and stunt performers, including George P. Wilbur, Tyler Mane, and Dick Warlock.

The Michael Myers actors came together over the weekend at the SugarMynt Gallery located behind the original Myers house in South Pasadena. The art gallery also hosts an annual Halloween exhibit, dubbed “Welcome to Haddonfield,” since it opened in 2015. Fans of the franchise can visit the gallery at 810 Meridian Ave between Wednesday through Sunday for just $20 at the door.

Michael Myers is one of the most iconic horror movie villains of all time. So much so that he’s influenced pop culture and has been referenced in countless forms of media. Having three of the actors who portrayed the villain together standing outside the original Myers house is sure to please any Halloween fan. Since the gallery’s exhibit is held annually, fans who missed this year’s event can plan on attending next year to get autographs from the actors that have haunted the big screen for years.
