While Joe Exotic is the star of the Netflix docuseries Tiger King, it’s Carole Baskin that had a lot of people talking.

The docuseries has so many odd twists and turns that you find yourself shocked at a seemingly entirely new story by the end of every episode. Joe seems to have it out for Baskin, despising her and her efforts to shut down exotic animal parks like his, or at least drag their names through the mud.

Meanwhile, Baskin has her own ominous tale that includes a missing ex-husband and accusations that she murdered him. For these reasons, the Internet has gone crazy creating memes all about her.

10 Let’s Do This!

No words necessary with this meme. If you don’t recognize the woman on the left, it’s Deanna Thompson, a.k.a. “Baudi Moovan,” the IT woman from Las Vegas who first came across videos of a young man harming cats on the Internet and began an Internet sleuth investigation to discover his identity. She was featured in the Netflix docuseries Don’t F*** With Cats about the killer in this videos, Luka Magnotta.

So the implication with this meme is that we need Thompson on the case to do the same kind of digging and uncover what really happened to Baskin’s wealthy husband Don Lewis.

9 Carole O.J.?

Many have compared Baskin to O.J. Simpson, who was the subject of a major murder trial pertaining to his ex-wife and her friend. In the end he was acquitted and walked free even though many believe him to be guilty.

After his release, O.J. wrote a book titled “If I Did It” that explained how he would have gone about with the murder if he had actually done it and it caused a ton of controversy. So viewers showing a similar book title with Baskin’s face on the cover and the tagline “confessions of the kitty queen” tell it all.

8 99 Problems

This play on the popular Jay-Z song, “99 Problems” pokes fun at the rumor (started by Joe Exotic) that Baskin not only murdered her husband because he wanted a divorce and she wanted his money, but that she fed him to her tigers after.

In the actual song, the lyrics go “If you’re having girl problems, I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems but a b*** ain’t one.”

7 Hypocrite, Anyone?

There has been a lot of chatter over whether Baskin really cares about the animals like she says or is really just doing the same thing everyone else does. One particularly hypocritical statement she has made in the past is that anyone who poses with an exotic cat is an issue.

Meanwhile, the image in this meme here pretty much says it all. Clearly she has done exactly that.

6 It’s Carole Baskin’s Fault

This meme doesn’t show Baskin but it focuses on her, as Joe Exotic did through much of the docuseries. Despite claiming that she was obsessed with him, he couldn’t stop talking about her, filming video talk shows about her, and even writing songs in her honor.

No matter what the situation, Joe found a way to blame it on Baskin and paint her as the ultimate villain. So it’s fitting that he might even blame that COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic on her, too.

5 Small Talk With Pets

One of the most quoted statements from the series was the “hey all you cool cats and kittens” greeting that Baskin uses in her live social media and YouTube videos. It’s so corny yet hilariously fitting.

While on lockdown during the pandemic, many with pets probably find themselves emulating Baskin and trying to talk to their pets that way, too.

4 Jessica vs. Carole

Tiger King was released shortly after another shocking series from Netflix, the reality dating show Love is Blind. Both were like train wrecks that viewers tuned into and found themselves having trouble looking away.

On Love is Blind, Jessica quickly became the most hated person because of the way she treated nice guy Mark and her obsession with Barnett even after he chose another woman. But sorry, Jessica, ya cool cat! Carole has you beat.

3 The Certain Things In Life

The saying goes that there are only two things in life that are certain: death and taxes. But maybe, according to this meme, there are actually three. One thing that many people seem convinced of after watching this docuseries is that Baskin killed her husband, despite her insistence that she had nothing to do with his disappearance.

But this meme takes it even further and suggests that Joe Exotic might be right about the way he believes she got rid of the body.

2 Making a Murderer: Part 2

Another meme that pokes fun at the idea that Baskin killed her husband, this one suggests that the woman be the subject of another true crime docuseries. One really popular one on Netflix was Making a Murderer, which followed the trial and case of Steven Avery, who was wrongfully convicted of one murder, then convicted again of another murder that many believe he was also innocent of committing.

That series focused on law enforcement or the county potentially framing Avery. In Baskin’s case, however, there’s some subtle suggestion that maybe she was helped in covering up the murder.

1 She Looks At You

You know when you see a man look lovingly at his partner as if she was the only thing in the world? This is how Baskin’s current husband looks at her. Except it’s not so much with intense love as it is fear, if you are to believe this meme.

Just look at his face as he poses with her. Is this just how he smiles or is he gritting his teeth to fake a smile when what he’s really saying deep down is “help me?”
