In the latest twist in the Tiger King saga, Jeff Lowe, who went on to own the infamous Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park after Joe Exotic, is now banned from exhibiting animals for life. Lowe, the once business partner of Exotic, owned the Zoo until Carole Baskin took over as the zoo’s proprietor in 2020 after a court ruling passed possession to Baskin. After conditions at the zoo were described as far from ideal, with reports of poor veterinary treatment given to the animals, the zoo was later closed permanently by Baskin.

As reported by National Geographic, Lowe has received a ban for life from keeping animals for exhibition purposes. The court ruling comes after accusations that Lowe and his company have broken the Endangered Species Act by taking illegal ownership of animals without proper licensing. While discussing the restrictions placed on Lowe, attorney Carney Anne Nasser describes the decision as “the most aggressive civil enforcement action against an animal exhibitor in the history of the Animal Welfare Act.
