Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin outfit has been turned into a fantastic child’s cosplay in a new social media post. The actor made his first appearance in the Marvel world as Norman Osborn in Sam Raimi’s 2002 blockbuster, Spider-Man. He can now be seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which premiered last week and debuted for general audiences this weekend. No Way Home earned fantastic reviews and rave reactions from critics and fans alike.

Norman Osborn is one of Spider-Man’s most iconic and enduring foes. The first modern live-action Spider-Man villain committed to the screen, Dafoe brought a crazed energy to the role that instantly made him one of the most beloved on-screen Spider-Man bad guys ever. That energy was further accentuated by his instantly recognizable armor, which took the Green Goblin design from the comics and turned it into an armored suit. Dafoe’s Osborn would eventually go on to die from wounds sustained by his own Goblin Glider in Raimi’s first film, with Spider-Man: No Way Home bringing him into the MCU and retconning his fate – while also destroying his helmet in the process.

Now, with Spider-Man: No Way Home in theaters, it seems that Dafoe’s Green Goblin has started to appeal to a brand new generation of fans. In fact, 6-year-old cosplayer Logan Winter Dominic posted a video of himself wearing an incredibly accurate recreation of the suit has surfaced on Instagram, including the Green Goblin helmet and the glider. Down to the most minute details, that’s arguably a fantastic recreation of the Norman Osborn suit from the films. The helmet and the deadly pumpkin bombs look accurate, and he even has a Goblin Glider made out of a hoverboard. It’s clear that the Green Goblin cosplay inspiration did not end at that version of the outfit, however, as the young cosplayer also posted a number of images of him in the suit that Norman Osborn wears later in No Way Home after his helmet is destroyed.

This post clearly seems to indicate a strong level of fanfare for Willem Dafoe’s Norman Osborn in Spider-Man: No Way Home, leading some to wonder what the future may hold for the actor and the character. No Way Home seems to close out his story in a fairly definitive way, but then again, the same could’ve been said for his role in Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man. With all of that in mind, fans will have to wait and see if Dafoe may return to the MCU as Norman Osborn and/or Green Goblin at some point. For now, audiences can catch Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which is currently in theaters.
