Titans star Curran Walters teases a shirtless scene for Jason Todd in the fifth episode of season 3. In 2018, Titans was among the first originals to debut on the now defunct streaming service DC Universe, telling the first live-action tale of the Teen Titans. The show was a hit for the service, and though fans had some criticisms about the handling of the titular team, Titans was renewed for seasons 2 and 3. While the second season premiered well over a year ago, Titans season 3 (which will stream exclusively on HBO Max) was temporarily waylaid by the coronavirus pandemic.

Production on Titans season 3 finally began in October, and not a moment too soon. The upcoming batch of episodes promise to include some thrilling developments, from the arrival of characters like Barbara Gordon to Kory’s (Anna Diop) full transformation into Starfire. Perhaps one of the most exciting story points in Titans season 3 is Jason’s transition into the vigilante Red Hood. There was some speculation Jason would assume this comics persona after he left the Titans at the end of season 2, and it was finally confirmed in August at DC FanDome.

Walters has supplied fans with plenty of teases on social media while Titans filming has continued, and his latest hints at some scenes fans can expect in episode 5. In addition to sharing a picture of the episode’s slate (which shows the episode will be directed by cinematographer Boris Mojsovski), Walters posted a shirtless picture that evidently is relevant to the episode. “shirtless scenes in 30 degrees ain’t so fun,” Walters wrote. Sounds like Jason’s doing some showing off. You can see Walters’ posts down below.

Red Hood’s upcoming Titans debut has been met with much excitement from fans, as well as some curiosity. Comics fans will know Jason only becomes Red Hood after being killed by the Joker (and then getting resurrected, naturally), yet that major moment hasn’t happened on Titans. Jason managed to avoid that particular fate, though he will still don the familiar red mask. Exactly how this will impact Titans‘ Red Hood remains to be seen, but both fans and Walters have shown their interest in this particular plotline.

Titans‘ season 3 episode count has yet to be revealed. If it falls in line with the two previous seasons, it’ll end up somewhere around 11 or 13 episodes. This means production on season 3 is potentially almost halfway through. With that in mind, it seems likely fans can expect Titans to return in the second half of 2021. That still seems quite far away, but if this lengthy hiatus has taught fans anything, it’s that they’ll receive plenty of teases from those working on the show. Hopefully more details about season 3 will be revealed soon.
