A video compilation of Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland performing acrobatic tricks and stunts throughout the years showcases why he is the perfect Peter Parker. Holland enjoyed enormous success last year with the release of his third stand-alone Spidey movie. Released in December, the hotly anticipated film saw Holland reunite with Spider-Man alumni Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, as they took on classic villains such as Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. The film has since grossed a staggering $1.8 billion at the global box office.

Holland took over the highly coveted role of Spider-Man in 2016 with the release of Captain America: Civil War performing on London’s West End as the titular character in Billy Elliott: The Musical. Prior to his MCU debut, Holland also appeared in 2012’s The Impossible alongside Ewan McGregor and had previously expressed a desire to play a superhero, citing Spider-Man as his dream choice. Holland, who is a trained dancer and gymnast, is known for doing many of his own stunts in his often action-packed movies, including his most recent blockbuster, Uncharted.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

A fan has compiled a series of clips of some of Holland’s tricks, stunts, and dances over the years. Shared to Youtube by the user Soso, the 4-minute video features clips from Holland’s various projects over the years, as well as some videos taken during the actor’s downtime. The video includes one of Holland’s bigger Uncharted stunts, which saw him get hit by a car 17 times, as well as numerous shots of the star showing off his gymnastics training by completing some impressive flip routines. Despite the immense success of No Way Home, Holland has previously cast doubt on his future as Peter Parker, stating that it remains unclear just what is next for his incarnation of Spider-Man. Having appeared in six MCU movies since his 2016 debut, it’s understandable he might want a break.  Holland is currently polishing off his tap-dancing shoes as he is set to play Fred Astaire in an upcoming biopic about the Hollywood icon.

This compilation certainly proves that Holland was born to play the role of Spider-Man, as the flexibility and movement that go hand-in-hand with the character appear to come naturally to him. Following the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, it was confirmed that Sony and Marvel are moving forward with Spider-Man 4, however, Holland has yet to officially confirm he’ll be returning to the character. While Spider-Man may not be on the cards for Holland in the long term, it’s fair to say that the star’s obvious passion for stunts and tricks likely won’t keep him away from his next action-packed role for too long.
