Spider-Man: No Way Home’s Tom Holland suggests Timothée Chalamet could play Harry Osborn opposite his web-slinger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Following his first feature role in Men, Men & Children and appearing in Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi drama Interstellar, Chalamet made a name for himself starring in critically acclaimed indies like Call Me By Your NameLady BirdBeautiful Boy, and Little Women. This year, the 25-year-old Oscar-nominee appeared in Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch and as Paul Atreides in Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Dune—which is his most high-profile role to date.

Harry Osborn has been a mainstay in Spider-Man’s story since Peter Parker’s earliest appearance in the comics and on the big screen. As the son of Norman Osborn, a.k.a. the Green Goblin, Harry has been portrayed as both Peter’s best friend and enemy after inheriting his father’s pumpkin bombs. His arc translated to the silver screen in both Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, where he was played by James Franco and Dane DeHaan respectively. In addition to bypassing the overtly familiar death of Uncle Ben, the MCU introduced Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) as Peter’s (Tom Holland) best friend, presumably saving Harry for a later date.

During a recent interview with AP Entertainment, No Way Home stars Holland, Batalon, and Zendaya were asked where the latter’s Dune co-star, Chalamet, would best fit into the MCU’s world of Spider-Man. Zendaya began by saying, “I don’t know, people want him to be Harry Osborn” with Holland echoing her sentiment and elaborating further. Read what he had to say below:

“He’d be a good Harry Osborn…I think it would be good to bring him in as a FOS (friend of Spider-Man) and then he kind of becomes bad. And then he could be a villain. He’d be a good villain.”

The pair went on to call Chalamet “such a nice bloke,” which would make it all the more surprising for fans to see him as an antagonist. Although, as stated by Zendaya, Chalamet has been a popular fan cast as Harry—something made all the timelier following reports that Holland’s Spider-Man will be appearing in more films after No Way Home concludes the Homecoming trilogy. On top of that, the film is set to bring back a slew of alternate universe villains including Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, making Harry’s introduction seem inevitable. Suffice to say, Peter could meet Harry in college or even become his roommate. However, Ned does become the Hobgoblin in the comics, and the powers-that-be might intend on exploring that arc rather than introducing Harry. All of that said, there’s a good chance Chalamet has no interest in joining the MCU.

During Dune’s press tour, Chalamet revealed an interesting piece of advice given to him from one of his heroes: “no hard drugs and no superhero movies.” Although Chalamet auditioned for the role of Spider-Man before Holland was cast, he’s since become the face of Dune and is set to play Willy Wonka in Warner Bros’ origin tale, Wonka. His filmography is already impressive and will continue allowing him to be selective in his roles. While he did recently gush over No Way Home’s trailer on social media and is clearly a fan, there’s no reason for him to delve into the realm of superhero movies. Still, never say never.
