While some couples formed on Too Hot To Handleseason 3, a surprising number of castmates like Stevan Ditter walked away single. That isn’t to say that they didn’t make connections throughout their journey. There wasn’t a single participant who didn’t turn heads or turn theirs, in turn, to check someone out. However, family energy took hold of the alarmingly attractive group of contestants more than anything.

Early on, both Stevan and Patrick Mullen tried to woo Georgia Hassarati. Georgia was vibing with Stevan’s tattoos and bad boy energy. After a couple of nights of sleeping together, though, Steven tried to take things to the next level. Gerrie Labuschagne attempted the same move later and even mentioned kids. Another disappointed single lady Jazlyn Holloway also got off to a rocky start when she got caught in a love triangle with Izzy Fairthorne. Both ladies decided that the man in question, Truth, wasn’t up to par. As more hotties entered the house, it seemed like some more pairs would form to no avail.

Ultimately, Truth and Jazlyn both exited the house without love on the table. Jazlyn couldn’t open up and embrace the workshops. Meanwhile, Truth struggled to tell the Truth about his two-timing ways. Patrick ended up jumping ship of his own volition, and Nathan Soan Mngomezulu almost got the boot for bad behavior. The cast undoubtedly had the biggest reaction to Patrick leaving single. While he learned a lot about himself, he recognized his purpose laid elsewhere. Patrick was ready to take his journey to the real world and apply his new relationship skills to real-life romance.

Gerrie and Jackson Mawhinney thought they found love with Georgia and Izzy, but the independent ladies decided it wasn’t for them. Georgia grew more capable of proactively communicating, which won her a nomination to win the prize money. She had to accept that getting serious wasn’t for her with Stevan, Patrick, or Gerrie, and most importantly, she needed to communicate that she wasn’t looking for romance. Georgia gets a lot of attention but she didn’t fully reciprocate it, which is more than okay. The inability to get frisky may have held up a lot of potential relationships, ironically. No one showed up looking for something serious as producers deceived the cast into thinking the show was called Pleasure Island.

The cast also wasn’t as large as it could be. A few weeks in, after living together, those who hadn’t sparked a sexual connection saw each other as a family first and foremost. Fresh faces did stir things up a bit, and they quickly fell into the domestic routines of cooking, working out, and watching Nathan and Holly Scarfone break the rules. While some of the boys like Stevan, Gerrie, and Jackson would have liked to make something more happen, it takes two to tango, and the girls were a bit pickier justifiably. Steven also ended up feeling a bit emotional, more so for his friendships than any connection. Too Hot To Handle might benefit from a larger cast like Are You The One? if it’s looking for more romance. Producers also might want to consider allowing for more pauses on the rules.

While only a few people ended up in serious entanglements, season 3 was nonetheless thoroughly entertaining. The family dynamic made for a positive environment where everyone was quick to forgive and support one another. Fans are undoubtedly excited for season 4 of Too Hot To Handle, which will hopefully spark more couples with some minor tweaks to the show format.
