Too Hot to Handle: Harry Jowsey Reveals Secrets About Casting Process

Some viewers might assume it would have been easy to star on Netflix’s dating reality show Too Hot to Handle, but in reality, it was pretty tough. Many hot, young, and sexually charged participants had to go through several interviews and rigorous screening process to finally be a contestant on the show. The casting crew carefully looked at the participants’ dating and sex lives and asked several intimate questions to make a choice. The reality star Harry talks about his audition with the crew and gives us a sneak-peek of the casting process.

Many viewers might not have featured on a show, but they do understand that to appear in a raunchy reality show, one needs to have a sexy body and a charming personality. However, to star on Netflix’s new-age show Too Hot to Handle, participants were also supposed to disclose intimate details about their love lives. To make the concept of the show exceptionally challenging for the contestants, the casting members chose participants who were highly sexual in their lives. Ultimately, they found 10 serial daters from all around the world who were fit for the concept of the show.

While talking on Is It Just Me? Podcast, the Aussie boy told that he was asked in-depth questions about his dating life and sexual history. The show producers wanted to make sure that the chosen contestants were the right fit for the format of the show, and that’s why the screening process became long and demanding. He said, “There was a massive flow of questions, mostly focused on our love life and our sex life, to see if we were the right kind of people.” 

All the proceedings were so discreet that most contestants were under the impression that the show would be on a television network. They didn’t know until the last minute that it was going to be featured on Netflix soon. He continued, “They didn’t tell us anything until the time it was announced on the show.” Even though the 23-year-old Australian model didn’t know the rules of the game initially, he emerged as a winner at the end. He was a rule breaker during the show, but towards the end, he successfully resisted the sexual temptations for his Canadian girlfriend Francesca.

Since the release, he has garnered a massive social media following. Right now, he has over 3.5 million followers on Instagram, which is more than enough to grab profitable branding deals and modeling gigs. It seems like his vivacious and compelling personality is actually very infectious. The reality star is not new to dating shows. In the year 2018, he appeared on the New Zealand reality show Heartbreak Island. After successfully completing a series of challenges, he won the show and got prize money of $100,000.
