In the second season of Too Hot To Handle, Larissa Trownson brought major Elle Woods vibes to the Turks and Caicos retreat. Larissa’s beauty also comes with brains, as she is a lawyer beyond the show. Originally from New Zealand, this Kiwi is the perfect mix of sexy and smart.

Larissa went from a typical office setting to one of Netflix’s hottest reality shows. So far, Too Hot To Handle’s sophomore season has aired across 190 countries, reaching millions of viewers. Since its premiere, Larissa has been very open about who she is. One look at her social media is all it takes to know Larissa has no problem showing off what she’s got. In fact, she’s very open when it comes to plastic surgery and other cosmetic procedures she has had done. All of her bikini photos validate that high level of confidence. But there is more to this blonde beauty than just her looks. When introducing herself on the show, she said she is a lawyer in her home country.

From a young age, Larissa was always told to go down the law or medical route when it came to her career. Her love for English and Judge Judy, as well as Legally Blonde, helped guide her decision. Larissa passed the bar exam in 2016 after she graduated from Victoria University (via Stuff). Her focus was on politics and law since she always had an interest in the subject matter. Larissa practices law for Winegrowers in New Zealand. Per the company’s website, they are the national organization for the country’s wine sector. They were established in March 2002 and are the only “unified national winegrowers industry body in the world.” The company currently supports over 600 grower members and 700 winery members.

Larissa was candid in a recent interview with Stuff about the stereotypes that come with being a lawyer and why going on a racy competition show was important. She said, “A stereotype exists that if you are a lawyer, you can’t do things like go on reality TV, wear bikinis, be sexy, have fun, talk about sex. I wanted to help break those stereotypes, but obviously there is still a long way to go.” During her time on the show, Larissa had no problem talking about any topic, no matter how risqué it got.

The reality show all about withholding from having sex (and really physical action in general) became the perfect platform for Larissa to break barriers for women. Since appearing on the show, Larissa has said how she has been receiving tons of messages from young women about their interest in studying law and how they support her mission about breaking workplace stereotypes in the industry.
