The Netflix show, Crash Landing On You has amassed a number of fans for its romantic drama storyline. The K-drama ties together the conflict of North and South Korea combined with the story of two star crossed lovers. Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin) is a Cheabol heiress living in South Korea.

One day while paragliding, she is blown off course and lands in a restricted military zone in North Korea. Here is where she meets an unlikely ally and love interest. A member of the North Korean elite and army officer, Ri Jeong-hyuk (Bin Hyun). As he helps her get back to South Korea an unlikely romance ensues. With its popularity, IMDb has rated the show’s top ten episodes.

10 Episode #6 (9.3)

The top Crash Landing On You Episodes episodes all have high rankings and episode six ranks at a 9.3 despite being last. In this episode, Se-ri is approached by a young man at her hotel and is pulled away. Jeong-hyuk follows them to find out that the young man, Seung-joon (Kim Jung-hyun) is her bodyguard and wonders why she is in North Korea. In reality, Seung-joon was a potential suitor for Se-ri who got rejected.

As the episode goes on, Se-ri and Jung-hyuk battle between their supposed fate of meeting. All the while, in South Korea there are individuals who want to make sure Se-ri never returns home. By the end of the episode, Se-ri and Jeong-hyuk are attacked on the highway.

9 Episode #5 (9.3)

In episode five, Jeong-hyuk has a hard time trying to keep the relationship with Se-ri a secret. As he tries to find ways to get Se-ri home, his excuses are running thin. He also must deal with his current fiancé, Dan (Seo Ji-hye) who has caught them together various times.

Se-ri is conflicted with her feelings for Jung-hyuk and his constant battle to not get attached. By the end, Se-ri and Jeong-hyuk board a train to Pyongyang to get her a new passport in order to pass as a reserve member of an international track team in order to get home.

8 Episode #15 (9.3)

The episode before the series finale, number fifteen takes fans on an emotional roller coaster. Things start falling apart for Se-ri and Jung-hyuk as they are left with little options of escape. Now in South Korea, Jeong-hyuk is unable to return home due to evidence being sent to South Korea of his involvement with Se-ri.

Things get complicated and he and his confidants are arrested by NIS agents for their involvement in Se-Ri’s original disappearance. All the while, Se-ri is ill and is in grave condition. At the same time, Seung-joon must save Dan from getting killed but ends up getting shot. As the episode ends, there is a foreshadowing of death.

7 Episode #8 (9.4)

A lot of storyline details occur in episode eight. Dan vows to keep her fiancé, Jeon-hyuk to herself no matter what. She later meets with Seung-joon to devise a plan to separate them, even if it means hurting Jung-hyuk. As the episode continues, Se-ri is a much more valuable asset than people realized when it comes to powerful positions.

By the near end, Se-ri is kidnapped, while Jeong-hyuk is recovering from being sick. He receives a phone call from Se-ri claiming this is her last goodbye. But something doesn’t seem right and Jeong-hyuk runs to the forest before hearing gunshots.

6 Episode #11 (9.5)

Jung-hyuk makes a sacrifice that would have any women’s heart flutter. He secretly traveled through an old mine tunnel to enter South Korea to find Se-ri. His South Korea pinfalls in the tunnel and is found by authorities. Se-ri tries to give Jeong-hyuk a makeover to help him blend in and avoid surveillance cameras.

As the episode progresses, Dan and Seung-joon meet again and start a complicated hot and cold attraction towards one another despite their arranged relationships. The episode ends with Se-ri being threatened by an assailant before being found by Jeong-hyuk.

5 Episode #10 (9.5)

Se-ri is back in South Korea and gives her company and her family a complete shock. they all believed her to be dead but shows up at her company before they were to appoint her sister-in-law as new CEO. Various flashbacks occur regarding Jeong-hyuk’s past. Se-ri confronts her stepmother about her desire to have Se-ri’s company fortune belong to step-siblings.

While Se-ri returns to her luxurious living, Jung-hyuk must deal with Cheol-kang (Oh Man-seok), a member of the North Korean army, being trialed for murder, bribery and drug trafficking. Who later escapes to track down Se-ri for revenge.

4 Episode #9 (9.6)

In the aftermath of Se-ri’s kidnapping, Jeong-hyuk comes to her rescue and is taken under arrest by Cheol-kang. Se-ri finds out her kidnapper is Jeong-hun’s father. After he is released, Jeong-hyuk visits his family demanding to know if Se-ri is dead. His mother decides she can’t see her son live in pain and brings in Se-ri.

Jeong-hyuk and his “ducklings”, his troops, take Se-ri to the border at nightfall. Before she can return to her old life, Jeong-hyuk decides to take one more step over the border to give Se-ri a kiss.

3 Episode #13 (9.6)

Se-ri and Jeong-hyuk make the most of their time together in South Korea, but know that their time together won’t last long. Jeong-hyuk decides to give in to his feelings and give Se-ri a couple’s ring. They play hooky and enjoy their time together. The danger isn’t far as Cheol-kang poses a threat.

Jeong-hyuk, Se-ri and the ducklings become involved in a complicated plot involving Cheol-kang. As Cheol-kang, during their fight, points a gun at Jeong-hyuk, Se-ri jumps in to save him at the cost of her life.

2 Episode #12 (9.7)

Following episode eleven, Se-ri and Jeong0hyuk are able to escape Cheol-kang’s attempt to hurt Se-ri in the parking garage. Se-ri, being a powerful CEO, purchases several buildings of people involved in an altercation with Jeong-hyuk. In return for rent-free living, Se-ri wants concrete evidence regarding Cheol-kang. In North Korea, Dan is called by Seong-joon who contracted a cold from loss of electricity at his home.

Se-ri and Jeong-hyuk admit their feelings for one another and Jeong-hyuk’s desire to stay in South Korea and live a happy life with Se-ri. The ducklings make a surprise visit to South Korea to surprise Jeong-hyuk and Se-ri in a heartfelt reunion.

1 Episode #14 (9.7)

Se-ri was swept away to the hospital suffering a gunshot wound from episode thirteen. Jeong-hyuk poses as her bodyguard when her family arrives. Jeong-hyuk and the ducklings are distraught over Se-ri’s condition. Vowing to find where Cheol-kang is receiving medical treatments, Jeong-hyuk wants to end things once and for all.

Meanwhile, Dan and Seung-joon can’t fight their feelings any longer and share a kiss. Jeong-hyuk finds out the location of Cheong-kang’s hideout and instructs the ducklings to not leave Se-ri’s side. As Jeong-hyuk holds a gun to Cheol-kang, detectives and officers swarm in and a gun show is heard.
