Over the course of the series’s run, Reno 911! has featured an impressive and iconic gallery of guest stars. Talents such as George Lopez (Mayor Hernandez), Zach Galifianakis (Frisbee), and Debra Wilson (Dominatrix) have appeared on the show. Season 7 added even more memorable and enjoyable guest spots to its repertoire. The fact these big names not only appeared on the show but also made frequent appearances attests to the guest’s palatability and comedic prowess.

On September 3d, it was announced another season was ordered. This will most certainly welcome more recurring and new guest stars on the series.

10 Jim Rash as Andrew & Others

Writer and comedian Jim Rash of Community fame has appeared in several episodes of Reno 911!. While he has played various roles, his most famous is Andrew, an unemployed pervert. The police of Reno are frequently called in to deal with his delinquent antics.

One of the character’s most hilarious moments was when the police went to the “Chicken Hole,” a brothel. Andrew, a patron, had phoned them after being unreasonably upset when the workers he slept with supposedly did not abide by the state’s mandatory hand-washing rule.

9 Ron Perlman as DUI Detainee

Known for his work in Beauty & the Beast and Sons of Anarchy, Ron Perlman appeared in the latest season of Reno 911! In episode 10, Perlman played a DUI detainee. While in a cell, he made moves on Deputy Johnson (Wendi McLendon-Covey) and she returned his advances.

They shared personal tidbits about their life. Johnson never knew her father whilst the detainee left his daughter when she was young. As everything starts clicking, they awkwardly and hilariously tried to brush everything off. Although, it was later revealed Johnson was just messing with him and got his Harley in the process.

8 Eddie Pepitone as Bernie Sanders

Eddie Pepitone is a comic legend and has appeared in shows such as Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. In “Weekend at Bernie,” Pepitone portrays a Bernie Sanders decoy and character actor. He gets chummy with the Reno PD when they are enlisted to escort him, especially after learning he was an extra on Hogan’s Heroes.

Unfortunately, their cover is broken after Pepitone’s character dies following a cocaine overdose and it is mistakingly reported that Sanders has passed away.

7 Toby Huss as Big Mike

Having worked on King of the Hill and Halt and Catch Fire, Toby Huss has appeared on Reno 911! since season 1. His character Big Mike, a.ka. the self-proclaimed “Last Samurai,” was a former respected Reno lieutenant until he became addicted to meth. He is now one of the city’s most notorious meth heads. The police are frequently called to his home to resolve complaints against him.

Huss does a terrific job of portraying a tweaked and eccentric drug addict. Junior’s actor Robert Ben Garant jokingly mentioned in an AV Club interview that Huss “ruins” a lot of decent movies he is in. Since they know him and know how silly he is.

6 Natasha Leggero as Bunny Hernandez & others

Writer and comedienne Natasha Leggero portrays Bunny Hernandez, a former stripper and porn actress who later married the mayor of Reno. Bunny and other characters Leggero has portrayed on the show were usually heavily intoxicated party girls who were pulled over by the police. Bunny (unknowingly and knowingly) messed with the officers by making up various excuses, delaying her arrests, or running away.

Leggero was convincing as a drunk and provided many golden moments through her and her co-stars’ on-point improvisational skills.

5 Patton Oswalt as Boozehammer of Galen & others

Ratatouille star and noted comic Patton Oswalt is another fan-favorite in the series. While he has portrayed different characters throughout the show’s run, his most famous character is Boozehammer of Galen. Boozehamer is a larping fan who tends to get carried away and accidentally/intentionally injure other role players.

Apart from the show’s original run, Oswalt also appeared in the spin-off movie Reno911!: Miami and was a guest in the show’s latest season as a controversial, conservative radio host.

4 Carrot Top as Himself

Prop comic Carrot Top appeared as an exaggerated version of himself in the episode “Weigel’s Pregnant.” In the episode, Carrot Top is staying in a hotel when he starts acting crazy. Throwing furniture over his balcony, refusing to cooperate with the police, and messing with the hotel staff. Towards the end, it seems he has chilled out but that proves to not be the case. He tricks the hotel manager by giving him a fake check and then steals a police cruiser.

Carrot Top was a good sport about playing a deranged and violent version of himself. He and his antics were some of the episode’s highlights.

3 Andrew Daly as Brad the Friendly Homeowner

Andrew Daly, known for Silicon Valley and Veep, as Brad the Friendly Homeowner makes for great TV. Brad is a jovial and unassuming fellow who enjoys hanging out with Reno’s law enforcement. He is so naive that he crocked up a home invasion (which resulted in his daughter being kidnapped) as a big misunderstanding.

Unfortunately, poor Brad would meet his end after committing suicide in season five. Although, not before seeing his friends from the department once more and even intending to write them a check for charity (but neglected to sign it).

2 Keegan-Michael Key as Theoretical Criminal

Key & Peele co-star Keegan-Michael Key is another fan favorite. Having appeared in countless Reno 911! episodes, Key’s most popular and hilarious character on the show is the Theoretical Criminal. A law-breaker who frequently attempts to allude the police by hypothetically questioning the legality or circumstances of crimes he has committed.

Besides being hilarious, Key was incredibly physical in the role as the character was prone to flee from the authorities. One time, he even collided into a motorcycle.

1 Nick Swardson as Terry

Nick Swardson of The Benchwarmers and Just Go With It fame debuted as Terry in season one of Reno 911!. Terry is known as one of Reno’s most colorful and eccentric residents. He has frequent run-ins with the law but always comes up with ludicrous excuses to explain his unlawful activities.

Such as owing an instance of indecent exposure to “trying on fruit” in a store’s produce section. Terry is a fan-favorite and has appeared many times on the series. Swardson’s adlibs and mannerisms definitely contributed to this character’s appeal.
