Star Wars, a fantasy adventure series set in space, is known for many things: lightsabers, blasters, spaceships, and all manner of creatures. However, it wouldn’t be fantasy without romance, of which the series has its fair share.

Romances in the galaxy far far away range from low-key to epic, although almost all end in tragedy. Here are the top ten romances in Star Wars, ranked.

10 Poe and Zorii

We first meet Zorii in The Rise of Skywalker where we learn that she and Poe worked together as spice runners in their youth. Apparently, Poe left at some point to join the Resistance, leaving Zorii feeling abandoned and betrayed. Despite the hard feelings, she helps Poe, Finn, Rey, and C-3PO sneak aboard a First Order ship, giving up her only means of escape in the process.

Poe clearly has feelings for Zorii, but she playfully rejects his advances. It’s unclear where their relationship stands after The Rise of Skywalker. Poe has chemistry with just about everyone, so the future of these two characters is up in the air.

9 Cassian and Jyn

Cassian and Jyn didn’t exactly hit it off at first. This was mostly due to their entirely different priorities; Cassian was a devoted member of the rebellion, while Jyn was a criminal mostly invested in saving her own skin. To make things more complicated, Jyn’s father worked for the Empire, and Cassian had a hard time believing Jyn when she found out that he was secretly helping the rebels. Ultimately, he chose to believe Jyn and her father.

Jyn eventually came around to fighting the Empire, and she and Cassian worked well together to get the Death Star plans. They spend their dying moments holding one another on the beach.

Due to Anakin’s role as a Jedi, their love was forbidden. They married in secret, and three years later were expecting twins. 1 Ben and Rey

Ben and Rey make up two halves of a prophesied dyad. They are equals whose connection spans space and time. Despite being on opposite sides of a war, they were never able to kill each other. After Rey saves his life, he renounces the dark side and embraces the light, flying to Exegol and helping Rey face Palpatine. When Rey dies, he gives her his life so that she can live. They kiss, and he dies.
