Tristan Reportedly Told Maralee Nichols He Was Engaged To Khloe Kardashian

Documents from Maralee Nichols’ latest filing have shown that Tristan Thompson allegedly told her that he and The Kardashians star Khloe Kardashian were engaged. Tristan and Maralee’s paternity lawsuit has been messy from the beginning. The Instagram model, who gave birth to her son, Theo, in December 2021, sued the NBA star for child support before her due date. The 30-year-old Chicago Bulls center initially denied being Maralee’s baby daddy until a paternity test result confirmed him as the father. However, the test result did not end Maralee and Tristan’s paternity drama, as the model made a series of allegations against him since Theo’s birth.

Maralee claimed that Thompson has done nothing to support her and their son. Her representatives confirmed her claims in February, stating that Tristan has not made any attempt to meet his son nor rendered any financial assistance. However, Maralee also said being a single parent has been rewarding, despite her challenges. Despite Tristan’s alleged absence in Theo’s life, Maralee is prepared to do everything to provide for her son, whom she said brings so much joy to her life and is her greatest blessing. However, despite her resolve, the mother of one continues to challenge Tristan.

Recently, the fitness model, 31, submitted a document that revealed her and Tristan’s alleged Snapchat messages. Us Weekly saw the documents and one of the messages Maralee allegedly sent to Tristan that read, “You literally just told me you are engaged and are trying to be with your family. I didn’t even know you were engaged.” She added that Tristan treated her badly, and the whole situation was upsetting. Tristan then allegedly sent a reply that read, “I’m engaged but I will be married soon. I told you I won’t and can’t be in the child[‘s] life at all by no means…Why not wait till [you] find the right person to have a family with. Why would you want a baby with a man that’s engaged? You wanna keep a mistake.”

According to the dates attached to these messages, Tristan was still dating Khloe. However, they broke up in mid-2021 before Tristan’s paternity drama with Maralee ensued. While Tristan and Khloe were dating, rumors swirled about a possible engagement. Those rumors heightened after Khloe was spotted with a large ring on her left hand. Maralee’s latest filing seemingly confirmed those rumors. In one of the messages Tristan allegedly sent to her, he wrote, “Just a heads up me and my fiancé [sic] gonna announce publicly about [our] marriage,” he allegedly wrote. “Just a heads up. We[‘re] probably moving out [of] the country in September and live either in Europe or Caribbean. Better living for us and our family away from the bs of America.” Tristan has denied sending the texts, but Maralee’s lawyer argued that the fragment demonstrates the NBA player’s “unwillingness” and “refusal” to support him and Maralee’s son before his birth.

Maralee’s documents revealed that Tristan didn’t want to be involved in Theo’s life, and it would be hard to believe otherwise due to the former NBA player’s previous false information. Although Tristan denied sending the message, many fans would not readily believe his words due to the false statements he made amid the paternity lawsuits. In addition, if one is to consider rumors surrounding the ring spotted on Khloe’s left finger before their breakup, Maralee’s claims may be right. However, whether Khloe and Tristan were engaged or not no longer matters. The former lovebirds are no longer together, and Khloe clarified she is done with Tristan for good. Still, Tristan needs to take responsibility and be present in his son Theo’s life as a good father.
