Unexpected: What Happened To Anthony Vanelli After Season 3 Of TLC Show

Anthony Vanelli and Max Schenzel are Unexpected alums who seem to be birds of a feather, as both were teenage dads and both were accused of domestic abuse by their Unexpected girlfriends. If fans want to compare rap sheets, it seems like Anthony’s is longer. Ever since the show ended, he has been in and out of jail, and he was even arrested 20 hours before his 20th birthday. It looks like he is setting himself up for a life of crime that might be extremely dangerous.

When Unexpected season 3 aired, fans were confused because they couldn’t figure out what Anthony’s then-girlfriend Rilah Ferrer saw in him. Maybe there were behind-the-scenes moments between them that were positive. Overall, they had a rocky relationship and Anthony was not even sure he was her baby’s father. Around the time that Rilah got pregnant, he moved 30 minutes away, and this meant that they were struggling to find time to spend with each other. When they eventually broke up because of the distance, Rilah slept with another guy and told Anthony he was going to be a father a few weeks later.

Although Anthony had his doubts, he hoped that he would be the father of the child. Even Anthony’s mother did not think her son was the father because he and Rilah were not together much when the baby was conceived. However, it turns out that he was the father, despite being in a turbulent relationship not unlike Laura Barron and Tylor Strawmyer’s. Paternity was not enough to keep them together, and Rilah and Anthony broke up due to allegations of domestic violence. Anthony was arrested twice for it.

The young dad has had plenty of run-ins with the police and his issues with the law don’t seem to be stopping. He’s in trouble for missing a few child support payments. Plus, he was charged with felony domestic violence. The 20-year-old is being charged with shooting a firearm at his former stepfather’s building. He then stole his former grandmother’s car, which landed him in jail, where he reportedly remains as of this writing.

If Anthony is not careful, he may find himself in a world of trouble and may not be as lucky as he was before. He has been let go by police but as he gets older, law enforcement personnel may not be as lenient. Countless other bad boys in the Unexpected series have had issues with the law. One example is Shayden Massey, who was booked for possession of drugs.

There are lots of controversial alums who have been in and out of jail, including Max Scherzel. He was recently released and started a YouTube channel, though people have not responded well to it. However, it does seem like he is at least trying to straighten himself out. Even alum McKayla Adkins has been trashed for overspending on a wig. Hopefully, when Anthony gets out of jail, he will be able to do what Max is doing, as that will be good for the Unexpected alum’s daughter.
