Unsolved Mysteries season 3 will premiere on Netflix in 2022. Hosted by the late Robert Stack, the original Unsolved Mysteries aired in 1987 and featured strange and unbelievable experiences of ordinary people. Last year, Netflix released a fresh batch of real-life mysteries with the debut of the Unsolved Mysteries reboot. Helmed by Shawn Levy (Stranger Things), the first two volumes of Unsolved Mysteries garnered significant traffic for the streaming service with unique opportunities for the audience at home to solve the case. Now, it appears more true crime tales are on the horizon.

As reported by Deadline, Unsolved Mysteries has been renewed for season 3, and the third installment will launch on Netflix in summer 2022. Placing a scope on cases that involve tragic events, bizarre occurrences, and vanishings, season 3 of Unsolved Mysteries is expected to devote each episode to a single case. Speaking on the upcoming season of new spellbinding tales, executive producer Terry Dunn Meurer expressed his excitement about bringing new mysteries to light. Meurer said:

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

“The Unsolved Mysteries production team at Cosgrove/Meurer Productions couldn’t be more excited about developing volume 3 of our successful Netflix series. We’re currently in production on more intriguing mysteries and we look forward to our viewers’ help in solving the new cases next summer. Thank you to our Unsolved Mysteries fans who have made the series such a huge success.”

Of course, seasons 1 and 2 of Unsolved Mysteries continue to make waves in the true crime world. Reportedly, the first twelve episodes have accumulated over 5,000 tips and led to further developments in cases. These include a revealing autopsy on Alonzo Brooks and new evidence regarding the escape of fugitive Lester Eubanks. Perhaps one of the upcoming episodes in season 3 will feature an iconic update from the recently featured Unsolved Mysteries cases.
