Vanderpump Rules: Lala & James Reveal If They Would Date Each Other Again

Now that they’re both single, Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent and James Kennedy are dishing on if they would ever consider dating again. Lala split from Randall Emmett shortly before James and Raquel Leviss decided to call it quits. It’s been years since Lala and James were an item. But James says “never say never” on the possibility of them reigniting their flame.

Lala and James share a very rocky history of being friends, lovers, and enemies. Their up and down relationship has been followed over the years on the show. In the early days of Lala’s relationship with Randall, it was hard for James to hide the jealousy he harbored for Lala dating an older more successful man. Over time, James eventually moved on with Raquel and worked to sober up and mature. With all the time that’s passed and the recent breakups, they both endured, show fans are wondering if Lala and James are considering giving a romantic relationship another try.

James and Lala recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live and responded to the fan speculation on the possibility of them dating again. “Honestly, we’ve both done so much growing up… I’d like to just continue this beautiful friendship that we do have [but] I never say never to anything nowadays,” James told Andy Cohen. “Honestly, after everything I’ve been through, I never say never to anything,” he added. Lala laughed while discussing if James is ready to date the new mom. “I mean, I don’t think James Kennedy is really to be like, a stepdad,” Lala said in reference to her nearly one-year-old daughter Ocean Kent Emmet. “So much has changed since we got together but he’s one of my best friends.”

Lala and James are both healing from their recent splits. They were both engaged and in the process of planning weddings before parting ways from their significant others. James and Raquel are on better terms than Lala and Randall. James admitted to speaking to his ex-fiance just the day before his WWHL appearance. Meanwhile, Lala and Randall are only communicating through an app and only discussing things pertaining to their daughter. Both James and Lala are moving on from their past relationships. James has moved into a new apartment after he and Raquel both decided to move out of the former space they shared together.

Lala has also moved out of the home she lived in with Randall and has been adjusting to life as a single mom. Considering how much they’ve both grown and matured over the years, Lala and James might work out should they choose to ever date again. With Vanderpump Rules viewers hoping for a spark to reignite the fanfare around the show, Lala and James could be the romance the show needs to make things more interesting. Lala and James don’t seem completely opposed to reigniting their flame.
