Vanderpump Rules: What Happened To Cast Member Peter Madrigal

Peter Madrigal has appeared on Vanderpump Rules since the beginning of the series, as he is an original member of the SUR friend group. The restaurant manager was never a full-time cast member but was always an important part of the show. Since season 9 didn’t film as many scenes at SUR, Peter hasn’t gotten as much air-time as he did in previous seasons. Now that he’s not on camera as much, fans are wondering what Peter has been up to.

Peter is known as the attractive manager of Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant, SUR. He has been in the management position for ten years. Peter’s trademark is his signature long hair, which makes him a Johnny Depp lookalike. He has a long history with the cast through his previous relationships with Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney. Vanderpump Rules fans saw a glimpse of Peter’s personal life as well. He had an on-screen fling with former SUR hostess Vail Bloom on season 3. The next season, Peter dated a single mom named Sarah Ward. He recruited his buddies Tom Schwartz and Jax Taylor to babysit Sarah’s son while the two went out on a date. In season 8, Peter was a groomsman in Jax’s wedding to Brittany Cartwright. He joined the gang on multiple cast trips and was involved in many “guy’s nights” in Vegas and The Mondrian in LA.

Lisa’s right-hand man is active on social media. During the November 16 episode of Vanderpump Rules, Peter tweeted, “Shall we watch #VanderpumpRules together tonight? Let’s live #tweet and play a #drinking game: every time you think I’m around – but don’t see me on camera, drink. #PumpRules#IreallyworkatSUR.” The tweet featured a gif of Andy Cohen nodding his head. A fan with the username @ObizzleOne replied to Peter’s tweet and commented, “I can attest you do work there. This was last month! It made my whole trip! But seriously! Where is your screen time???!” She added a photo of herself posing with the SUR manager while dining at the West Hollywood establishment.

Aside from working in the foodservice industry, Peter is a restaurant connoisseur. He has partnered with Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to film reviews of restaurants throughout the resort. Peter posts videos of these experiences on his Instagram page. The most recent spot Peter went to was Bobby Flay’s Italian restaurant Amalfi, which he described as “perfection.” Peter used his video blogging skills to record a tour of his own restaurant on SUR‘s Instagram account for followers to see.

The Vanderpump Rules star created a new podcast with his friends, Rob Federic and Rob Schulte, called Madrigal at the Movies with Rob and Rob. Fans can listen to the movie lovers’ podcast by purchasing a Patreon membership. For now, Peter is focusing on his job at SUR, discovering new restaurants, and his podcast. His social media pages don’t show any signs of him being in a relationship, so people can assume that he’s single.

Peter may not be on Vanderpump Rules as often anymore, but viewers are begging for him to have more scenes. He’s still working at the restaurant, unlike many other current cast members. Peter deserves a lot more time on the show since he has always been one of the more likable and level-headed stars. If any Bravoholics get a chance to visit SUR, they just might see Peter checking in on their table.
