VPR: Everything to Know About Kristen Doute’s New Man Alex Menache

Vanderpump Rules‘ Kristen Doute has finally moved on from Brian Carter with a new man – enter Alex Menache. After years of on- and off-screen drama between Kristen Doute and longtime boyfriend Brian Carter, the two have finally split up. In season 8 of the reality show, their relationship was all over the place but by the season finale, they were “exclusively dating” again. This all went south after filming ended. However, the end of every love story is marked with a new beginning.

Kristen, 33, and Brian, 31, were quite serious about their relationship and even lived together. They met on the dating app Bumble and co-parent a puppy named “Gibson Nicks.” The Bravo star told Carter about Menache before their relationship was “Instagram official.”

The founding VPR star told Us,

“He’s known about Alex and I since before I went public with it. And that definitely created a strain. But I know he’s dating as well now. And I think [hearing that] was as hard as it was for me to just come out and tell him, like, I am dating someone else. And I didn’t want to hurt his feelings. But I had to keep on my self-love journey and live my truth and live the life that I want to live regardless of how it made someone else feel. So I handled it a bit with kid gloves. We don’t talk very often. And I think that’s the healthiest thing for both of us right now. But maybe one day.”

Carter may have already known about Menache but fans were taken aback given the end of season 7. It is also surprising that he is not a SURver, since the VPR cast has a thing for incest. Menache is 37 and friends with fellow cast member Tom Schwartz. He is not a celebrity, but is aware of the details of Doute’s past relationships, which are detailed in her new book. “Hopefully we get a season 9 an, you know, if he’s my boyfriend, he’ll be a part of the show because it’s a part of my life and I don’t want there to be any surprises,” she told Us. “I don’t want him to be caught off guard by anything anyone might say. So he knows every last detail.”

Doute’s friends seem to approve, commenting on Instagram photos of the new pair. “This makes my heart so happy! You deserve all the happiness in the world my love. You have such a big heart and always give and put others first! It’s YOUR turn to be happy!!!!” Scheana Shay wrote, while Brittany Cartwright responded with heart emojis. The two have even been quarantining together, as Doute revealed on Scheana Shay’s “Scheananigans” podcast. Despite ending season 8 not speaking to Kristen and mentioning that Kristen may not be invited to her wedding, VPR star Stassi Schroeder also noted to Us that “He’s really nice, actually. He’s so normal. [He’s] good for Kristen.”
