The Walking Dead season 11 set photo teases Carol and Rosita teaming up in the series finale. The second part of TWD season 11 is currently playing out on AMC. And fans have already been informed that the third part of season 11 will finally wrap up the long-running zombie drama.

Plenty of dramatic events have of course already unfolded during the course of The Walking Dead season 11B. The very first episode indeed saw Maggie bringing an end to the Reapers (except for Daryl’s old flame Leah) in memorably brutal fashion. Season 11B has otherwise been largely occupied with delving deeper into the Commonwealth, which turns out to not be quite the utopia it seemed at first.

Of course while The Walking Dead season 11B plays out, work on season 11C continues. Indeed cast and crew recently turned to shooting the finale episode of season 11C which of course happens to also be the series finale. Not much has been revealed about what will go down in the final run of Walking Dead episodes, but director of photography Duane Charles Manwiller at least offered a small tease via an Instagram post showing Carol and Rosita teaming up in the finale. The image above naturally doesn’t give anything too significant away in terms of plot detail. It does however serve to confirm that both Carol and Rosita make it to the last episode of the season. It’s no surprise of course that Carol survives that long, as she is supposed to star in her own spinoff series with her BFF Daryl once The Walking Dead season 11 wraps up. The fate of Rosita on the other hand remains up in the air as the character has not been confirmed to be part of any spinoffs. Of course as a long-time character on the show, Rosita is someone fans might expect to make it to the end, though of course with The Walking Dead it’s impossible to be totally sure who will live and who will die. If Rosita does meet a shocking fate, it apparently will have to come in the series finale.

It remains to be seen of course what specific circumstances bring about the scene teased in the above image. Presently, Carol and Rosita are both residents of the Commonwealth, and Rosita has even joined Daryl in donning the white armor of a Commonwealth soldier. As was teased earlier in the season, being soldiers may in fact bring Daryl and Rosita into conflict with Maggie, who continues to hold out against joining the Commonwealth. But even if the main The Walking Dead characters end up on opposing sides for awhile, it’s a safe bet that they will all be fighting together again when the series finale finally rolls around.
