Those who struggled with the weirdness of the first episode seemed to be getting used to it more by the second. The episode really has fun with the wacky hijinks of the sitcom, allowing Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany to show off their comedic skills.

7 Now in Color (Episode 3) – 8.2

The third episode of the show heads into the 1970s with its take on shows like The Brady Bunch while also moving into color. The episode deals with Wanda’s very fast and unexpected pregnancy while also revealing some big secrets about the overall story.

This episode seemed to be a turning point for the show. Whether it was the fact that some questions started to be answered or the sitcom style was really starting to gel, fans were getting hooked

6 Breaking the Fourth Wall (Episode 7) – 8.5

In the last episode that uses the sitcom formula, WandaVision does a Modern Family-style bit of fun for its seventh episode. As Wanda deals with the various threats to her new existence, her reality begins breaking down as Vision tries to reach her to end all the madness.

After a steady build-up of thrills, this episode seemed to take a step back. Some big fan theories were squashed in the episode which undoubtedly disappointed many fans. However, with the eerie final scene and its big reveal, the episode certainly ended on a high note.

5 The Series Finale (Episode 9) – 8.5

In the final episode, Wanda and Vision battle various enemies while trying to keep their family together. Wanda is also faced with the truth about Westview as well as the extent of her powers.

Finales are always difficult as there is so much pressure to deliver on what fans are expecting. The endless fan theories that ended up going nowhere certainly led to some frustration with viewers and others were disappointed in how it felt like a typical MCU climax after being so inventive before. However, the episode does deliver some beautiful, emotional moments with a heartbreaking conclusion.

4 We Interrupt This Program (Episode 4) – 8.9

After being stuck inside the mystery of Westview for three episodes, the fourth episode moves out into the real world and starts to answer some of those burning questions. Monica Rambeau gets the opportunity to take center stage as the hero while past MCU characters like Jimmy Woo and Darcy Lewis make fun returns.

While it could have been a mistake to leave the sitcom world, the fourth episode moves the story along at just the right time. Teyonah Parris shines as Monica and the opening scene showing the chaos that ensued when the Blip was reversed is one of the most impactful moments in the MCU so far.

3 All-New Halloween Spooktacular! (Episode 6) – 8.9

Every sitcom needs a holiday episode and WandaVision is no different. Following an unexpected return of a loved one, Wanda attempts to reconnect with this person who is not quite what she remembered. Meanwhile, Vision begins exploring the secrets of Westview and makes some disturbing discoveries.

The episode is a great mix of comedy while also deepening the mystery of the story. It maintained a great tense build-up throughout the episode as the bond between Wanda and Vision begins to crack, all leading to a thrilling ending.

2 Previously On (Episode 8) – 9.0

Following the villain reveal at the end of the last episode, the eighth episode takes a unique approach to a flashback episode, exploring Wanda’s backstory. It fills gives more context to aspects of her past that fans already knew while also delivering some huge revelations.

Though Olsen had been doing remarkable work leading up to this, episode eight is her shining moment on the show. She is heartbreaking as she looks back on the endless grief she has experienced in her life. It is a powerful episode of character development, unlike anything the MCU has delivered, and makes Wanda one of the cinematic universe’s most compelling characters.

1 On a Very Special Episode… (Episode 5) – 9.1

In retrospect, fans might not have ranked this episode so high if they knew what the final outcome would be. The final moments of the fifth episode deliver a shocking appearance that could have potentially changed the MCU going forward. As it turns out, the reveal wasn’t as big as people thought and didn’t really go anywhere.

Despite that, the moment still landed like a knock-out punch that was still very fun. Aside from the surprise ending, the episode was thrilling in how it dealt with Wanda and Vision’s growing family and the distrust that began to grow between them.
