Warframe: How to Kill the Exploiter Orb

Warframe is a game that has a host of missions to undertake, planets to visit and enemies to defeat. The enemies vary and each provides a unique level of difficulty in defeating them. The Exploiter Orb is one enemy that will take teamwork and effort to destroy.

But what is the best course of action for players to take down this gargantuan enemy? What specifically must happen for the Exploiter Orb to be killed? There is a process of taking down this enemy and this guide will help. Here is a guide to finding and killing the Exploiter Orb in Warframe.

Finding The Exploiter Orb In Warframe

The Exploiter Orb can be found at Orb Vallis and is best fought with a team. But before looking for the Exploiter Orb, players need to have Diluted Thermia or they will not be able to utilize the console that calls the Exploiter Orb into action. Diluted Thermia can usually be obtained during the “Operation: Buried Debts” missions, which players will need to check the schedule to know when the next one is.

Once on Orb Vallis, players need to venture northeast of the Harindi Crater to find a cave that houses an abandoned station called Deck 12. When players get to the inside of the cave, they need to follow the path to Deck 12.

When entering Deck 12, players need to jump to the upper left level and the console will be located there. This is where the Diluted Thermia can be activated to call in the Exploiter Orb.

Beginning The Fight Against The Exploiter Orb in Warframe

After the console is activated, players need to find cover because the Exploiter Orb will drop from the ceiling and begin firing at players. The enemy will be standing on rocks to help prevent it from falling down.

Players will need to shoot these rocks in order to make the Exploiter Orb fall down. Getting the enemy off the rocks will help begin the first phase of the actual boss fight.

Doing The First Phase Of The Exploiter Orb Boss Fight in Warframe

For the first phase of the Exploiter Orb fight, players will need to destroy the Orb’s vents in order to take it down. Destroying a certain number of vents at a time will activate different stages of the boss fight.

To start off, players need to destroy one of the Orb’s exposed vents after it fell from above. After destroying one vent, the Exploiter Orb will run to the other end of the room and players will now be required to destroy two more of its vents.

This time, those vents will be frozen and players will need to look for Thermia Canister by going to one of the dispensers on the map and waiting for them to spawn the canisters. Players will then need to throw these canisters at the vents while also battling enemy mobs in the process.

Once those two vents are taken care of, the Orb will then go to the middle of the room and raise itself up. It will now unleash Coolant Raknoids players must defeat while dodging the Orb’s attacks. It is best recommended to focus on the Raknoids during this time.

After players defeat the Raknoids, the Exploiter Orb will go back to where players destroyed its first vent. Players will then just have to use their current weaponry to take out the last vent in the same manner as the first one. Once the Orb’s vents are all destroyed, the next phase will begin and players must leave Deck 12.

Doing The Second Phase Of The Exploiter Orb Boss Fight in Warframe

For this phase, players will need to leave the way they went to Deck 12 and head back out to Orb Vallis. They will then need to hunt for and battle the Exploiter Orb.

To defeat the boss this time around, players will need to make it overheat. The Exploiter Orb will be calling out to Coolant Raknoids to help cool it down.

After killing one, a coolant canister will drop that will need to go into Thermia Fractures. Thermia Fractures will spawn randomly onto the field and players will need these to fill their blue canisters.

They just need to drop them in the fractures and the canisters will turn yellow. Players will need to throw these yellow canisters at the Exploiter Orb to make it overheat.

Ending The Fight Against The Exploiter Orb in Warframe

After the Exploiter Orb overheats, players need to jump onto the Orb and a cutscene will follow showing the enemy’s engine opening up. Players will then use their weapons and shoot at the engine and flames will burst out. Players will then keep shooting until they deal the right amount of damage.

Now players will have to keep killing the Coolant Raknoids, using the Thermia Factures to refill their canisters, throwing them at the Exploiter Orb and shooting at the Orb’s engine to defeat the boss. Once defeated, the Orb will drop loot and players will be forced to gather the goods quickly and leave because the Orb will explode and kill everything within its blast radius.
