Due to a new glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War that cropped up after the latest 1.34 update, spotting snipers has become an even tougher task than before. Even though the latest bug is not as serious as the FPS-dropping glitch discovered over a week ago, it is still extremely annoying.

Last Thursday, a vivid demonstration of a new game-breaking bug appeared on Warzone’s subreddit. The newly-discovered glitch caused  players’ FPS to drop to unplayable levels, preventing players from performing such simple tasks as deploying a parachute in time. Apparently, selecting a weapon with a Bullseye reticle on it from one’s loadout results in the performance drop, which can’t be rolled back until a different set of equipment is chosen. Funnily enough, it is possible to do when a player with the bugged weapon gets downed, but the latest update was supposed to address some of Warzone‘s most troublesome glitches.

Unfortunately, Update 1.34 for Call of Duty: Warzone has introduced a new glitch that removes glint from the sniper rifles. YouTuber JGOD has already arranged a video guide on how to take advantage of the glitch, suggesting loadouts for Kar98k and HDR rifles, although no-glint options are available for the majority of Warzone’s modern sniper weapons. The trick is to have a variable zoom scope, which will ensure there’s no detectable glint when aiming down sights. The bug removes glint from sniper optics, which basically makes long-range shooters undetectable. Without the glint, players are unable to tell if a sniper is taking aim at them, putting them in danger. That’s exactly what is happening right now in Warzone.

In recent months, Warzone has had numerous bugs that drastically affect gameplay. Warzone‘s notorious infinite stim glitch has seemingly made its way back to the battle royale title at the end of March after it was initially fixed. Exploiting an endless supply of stims allows players to outlive shrinking rings of gas, eventually winning matches that way, and that’s exactly what was happening last week.

Although the Warzone community might be overreacting, players tend to believe that lately, the game’s quality has substantially decreased. Gamers are not hesitating to outright blame Raven Software for poor support and broken updates, implying that the situation was better when Infinity Ward was in charge. It is hard to say if it’s indeed the case, but the amount of recent reports describing game-breaking bugs is undoubtedly high. Warzone desperately needs more thoughtful quality control, and that’s something the devs should look into if they want to keep the audience satisfied.
