A new strategy in Warzone using the JOKR Launcher & Cluster Strike is devastating squads in new meta. The JOKR is a rocket launcher in Call of Duty: Warzone that locks onto enemy infantry and vehicles. Once the JOKR is fired, the missile will fly into the air, track its target, and land on top of them to score a big hit. For players in vehicles, this missile can be a one-shot kill, unless the player leaps off before impact. For infantry, the missile can be extremely deadly, especially if they are not behind cover. The effectiveness of the JOKR Launcher and some players have uncovered a deadly strategy to maximize its power.

Warzone is a multiplayer battle royale game that pins one-hundred players in a deathmatch, much like The Hunger Games. Warzone has been out for an entire year, boasting incredible popularity among gamers. Armed with fan-favorite weapons from the Call of Duty franchise, players must outwit and outlast their opponents, collecting loot and avoiding the “death circle” closing in. The need for strategy is imperative if players are going to survive until the end, and there is never a shortage of clever tactics to rain damage on enemies. One such maneuver can be deadly for squads, utilizing a clever combination to wipe out entire teams.

Posted by Reddit user, InGeorgeWeTrust, the clip shows an incredible use of both the Cluster Strike and JOKR Launcher to weed out campers and punish their escape with a devastating missile blast. The player is seen running into a building’s stairwell and activating the Cluster Strike, which will rain deadly missiles on the building’s roof. The need to survive the blast overwhelms the squad camping the roof, and they make a made-dash for the stairwell to take cover. The player down below then launches their JOKR, taking out the entire team with a single shot.

Players are freaking out over what is being deemed the new meta, an inescapable barrage of deadly missiles. The strategy works so well, mostly because the JOKR unleashes a tremendous amount of damage on infantry, making it nearly impossible for players to escape. Adding the Cluster Strike attack to force an escape is the icing on the cake since most players wouldn’t expect a simultaneous strike. The video reveals just how effective this strategy can be, and it might be a while before players catch on. Such a powerful strategy may spark a new in-game nerf by Warzone devs, though, who have been known to nerf overpowered weapons before.

Until then, players can avoid the clever combination by leaping off of the building, redeploying their parachutes to prevent severe fall damage. Depending on how quickly players can react and escape the area of effect of the Cluster Strike, this may be the only way to prevent squad annihilation. Hopefully, there are no other squads around the map waiting for the rooftop campers to leap off of the building. If there are, rooftop campers should move to cover as quickly as possible, escaping the Cluster Strike and returning fire with some of Warzone‘s strong weapon load-outs. No matter the strategy, there is one thing is for certain: there are many options better than running head-first into a JOKR missile in a narrow stairwell.

While players have only recently used this tactic in Warzone, it shows an incredible variety in the game’s strategy. Campers have always been an issue in Call of Duty games, but this newfound meta is sure to make potential snipers think twice about their positioning. Hopefully, this will at least dissuade players from sitting on buildings and just hitting ridiculously long shots.
